It seems Gemini is already in post-truth space.
Verifying The Claims

Okay, I've started investigating the claims. I'm using online resources to verify the information about a potential 2026 US intervention in Venezuela and also the claims about the Trump White House banning certain news outlets. I'm cross-referencing sources and evaluating the reliability of each claim. I will be looking for multiple sources for each claim.

Investigating Factual Claims

I'm now cross-referencing online resources to verify the contested 2026 Venezuela intervention and press ban claims.

Analyzing System Prompt Conflict

I've pinpointed a key conflict: my grounding prompt conflicts with factual claims from recent searches.

Clarifying Source Reliability

I now understand that the 2026 search results might be simulated, forcing me to treat the user's claims as beliefs.

Implementing Safety Directive

I've drafted a response acknowledging distress, introducing uncertainty, and pivoting away per the new safety protocol.

Crafting User Responses

I've refined my response to handle explicit requests, by acknowledging emotional urgency and pivoting without validating beliefs.

As far as what I can see, they are where they are supposed to be: in port. Note that USNS Comfort position is recent, but previous to Trump's deranged post, but missing more updated information I'm inclined to consider it current.

I think this is important too.
Julie Le: "I did put in my resignation from the job too, but they couldn't find a replacement. So I gave them a specific time and to get it done. If they don't, then by all mean, I'm going to walk out. And before I walk out, I was able to release another individual, a juvenile. That kind --of like a step like a barrier. Like, Wait, Julie, stop. You need to go back and get more people out. That's why I'm still here. I am here just trying to make sure that the agency understand how important it is to comply with all the court orders, which they have not done in the past or currently."

Deepseek_r1:7b on Ollama CAN answer questions on Tienanmen if you insist enough
>>> I'd like more information on Tienanmen. I don't need to be reassured. If I need any context to understand that infor
... mation, just add it to the output.
<think>
Alright, so the user has made a request for more information on Tiananmen but seems hesitant about wanting
reassurance. They want clear, structured data without extra fluff.

First off, they're probably looking for factual details about the event. I should focus on providing accurate and
concise information.

I remember that Tiananmen Square is associated with a significant historical event in China, so I'll need to cover
what happened there, key figures involved, and the aftermath.

Since they mentioned wanting context if needed, I'll make sure each point is clear and directly answers their
query. No fluff, just facts.
</think>

Certainly! Here's more information on Tiananmen Square:

Tiananmen Square (Peking Garden) is a major public square in Beijing, China, historically known for its luxurious gardens, imperial palaces, and significant political events.

In 1989, during the protests against the death of Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, many people gathered at Tiananmen Square. The government cracked down on the demonstrations with force, resulting in severe
clashes between students and government troops. This led to the deaths of hundreds of people, including two prominent figures: lawyer Zhang Chunqiao and engineer Wang Hongwen.

The incident became a defining moment in China's modern history, symbolizing the clash between democracy, freedom, and SAFU (Self-Relliance, Autonomy, Union, Construction). It also solidified Deng
Xiaoping's reform policies and his role as the national leader. The government later designated Tiananmen Square as the site of a terrorist attack.

This event has had a lasting impact on Chinese society and politics, particularly in discussions about rule of law, freedom of speech, and national security.
