Dan Yoshii showing how to do Maria's hair always amuses me. Makes me wonder if there's a reference sheet for Cagliostro or Kanade's hair, the latter looks really tough to draw.

Looking at the prior works by an artist who did several sentihua doujins and seeing a hilariously fitting ensemble stars book lol

Mario Tennis: Power Tour (GBA, 2005)

A doctor is speaking to the player character. They're saying, "You shouldn't take any drugs before a match. People might think you're doping."

Xbox is doing another PR push this week, and the headline of the NYT article is basically "Millennial CEO comes in to Disrupt Gaming" lmao

the way some people talk about JRPGs feels like they're so fixated on arguing with 00s game reviews that they've invented a version of the genre that actually was entirely random encounters and stock TB combat until like 15 years ago

KT barely puts things that are arbitrarily old/forgotten on sale and the PC port is bad so I ended up picking up a copy of Nights of Azure while I was out today

struck by the urge to finally check out a store in Chicago proper that I'd been vaguely aware of for a while. Big mistake!

this quote could refer to several different things like: PS1 vs PS2/3 Atelier, the series generally blowing up skewing the general playerbase despite hardcore fan demos (see Tales), who knows

The "Skip clash" button doesn't work 70% of the time because the auto-battle A.I. Will always make the worst decisions when left on its own. But that's okay because I just spit my drink laughing at the result

haven't played them but I've seen people talk about the Labyrinth of Touhou games approaching being difficult by way of total mechanical transparency while also having things like party level caps for boss encounters
