popping in & out of #InfoOnline25 today but my glimpses of this morning have been inspiring 🌱 highlights: listen to First Nations people re. climate change; don't disregard the impact of young people; and the reminder that libraries are partners in #ClimateJustice & we're led by our communities ✊🏽

Young people are already taking on leadership roles with climate action. Don't include young people as part of an inclusion measure, empower them to lead! #InfoOnline25

#InfoOnline25 end of day one thoughts: all speakers brought the conversation back to prioritising self-determination; bringing Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing into libraries; & non-Indig leaders partnering with Indigenous people 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽 however

Attending ALIA's Information Online conference today, learning about the NLA's ICIP Protocol implementation. Really liked this quote by James Baldwin, shared in the presentation. #InfoOnline25

tuned into ALIA #InfoOnline25 & my main takeaways from the morning discussions are: 1) there’s a disconnect between aspirations & reality re. implementing Indigenous protocols; 2) #IndigenousLibrarianship is its own discipline, not an add on; 3) allies must stop centring themselves & listen to us.
