Ok, Fable app is soooo much better, I think I might switch 😁

Luke Roberts @raekul.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

So turns out the storygraph app is just bad, switched the web app version and suddenly everything loads instantly and I don't get the blank space at the top of the app anymore!

Finished two books today, and next is the second book in the Mistborn series, "The Well of Ascension." I'm excited because the first one was so good!

Nice that Duolingo's new "Charge" system, replacing the old hearts system, when you run out of charge, hits you with ads that are +2minutes to earn some charge back. The 30s, sometimes 1m ad was bearable, but this is just a joke now surely 😂

Heard something that Jack Black had been doing about finding an artist and listening to all their stuff in chronological order. I have been on a Jimmy Eat World journey all day, it's excellent.

Got round to repairing my WH1000xm3's instead of buying a new pair, new battery, side brackets and earcups for a rough grand total of ~£25. The satisfaction of turning the headphones back on, it working and sound coming out of both earcups 🤩

I'm all for supporting local book stores, but when they take 2 months to order in a book, as they had forgotten to order it, I'm sort of out off 😅

Been reading Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson and saw people say nothing interesting happens until much later. I must be some exception or just easy to please because i'm 250 pages in and i've loved every part so far 😁.

I have played about 40 hours of Elden Ring Night Reign and i have to say I've been loving it. Sure it's frustrating at times but those games where your team comes together it's awesome.

Found a gold mine of books at a local book, boardgame, Lego store we have here in Tromsø, picked up these I've had on my TBR for a while ☺️

Top down shot of two books, left, Red Rising by Pierce brown in softback and right, Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson in a nice hard back

One thing that has been bugging me for a long time about Spotify. I use "Liked Songs" as my library and the list continuously gets smaller over time as and when music is updated, pulled, re-added to Spotify. Kind of makes me CD's, my own digita/physical media and how it stays in my library.

Love the new image generation with ChatGPT, this was quite fun

A surreal digital painting shows a dolphin with a unicorn horn — a "dolphin unicorn" — gracefully floating through a glowing white triangle in the sky. The dolphin emits radiant rainbow beams from its eyes and mouth, leaving magical trails behind. Swirling rainbows and a cosmic sky form the background. Below, a large crowd of people with glowing white eyes and blank expressions stands silently in a dark cityscape. At the top of the image, the words "Dream Big" appear in bold serif font, with "dolphin unicorn" beneath it in a lighter serif typeface.

I always find it funny when I'm reading a book and the author is like "...he, or she". Reminds me of James Acaster's standup and how the person probably fully intended to just put "he", but then remembered "she" exists. Its like people have an aversion to the word "They"... Just use they

Funny how POE2 is in early access and is essentially what Diablo4 should have been on day one. Sure it's a bit rough around the edges right now and needs some tweaks, but it's nowhere near the mess Diablo was when it launched.
