I remember a surgeon wanted to do a laminectomy and fusion on a pt with vertebral TB in the same levels and no one was going to make the OR take precautions until I, the lowly neurodx tech asked the charge nurse about it. She seemed miffed that she had to move them to the negative pressure OR. 🙄

The amount of relationships I lost when my brother died by suicide…. Oof. 90%? Rebuilding that is so hard when you’ve been betrayed so deeply by so many. I tell my parents all the time it’d be easier to have a relationship with them if they’d just do basic grief therapy. Goes for the whole country..

My tacos are disability friendly with season packets, canned refried beans that get mixed into the meat, pre shredded cheese, pre shredded lettuce, chips, non warm shells and squeeze bottle condiments. Only one dish if we use disposable plates and utensils. Easy protein and fat macros!
