i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

I will always admire my generation's ability to convey a message in the most ineffective way possible. Like occasionally I find myself rewatching the clip of slimecicle saying "I didn't look like this when I was born" followed by the most confident "I was yellow." and it somehow still makes sense.

i do find it funny that "crystal" swords in media are such a legendary thing when in truth metals also form crystals lol it's more accurate to call them "gem swords", that IS a different type of crystal (electron bonds vs metallic bonds) but i guess it doesn't sound as cool as *crystal* sword lmao

"we taught a rock to think" really doesn't reflect just how wild modern tech is... current integrated circuits can go down to the nanometers. the transistors on my laptop's CPU are a couple hundred atoms per logic gate, around fifty atoms per trace. on a commercial device. we taught ATOMS to think.
