If I stare at my bowl of dried crickets long enough, perhaps they'II come back to life and write this useless essay for me. Though, not sure what the cricket population would have to say about the experience of being a pure red girl. I
guess I'll just have to write this myself. For the fifth year in a row. Seriously, teachers need to think of another way to showcase the anniversary of The Great Coloring. Why must we always write about why our skin color makes us special?
I dread this moment every year. No matter the school I'm at. No matter the friends I've made in the short time I've graced them with my presence. It
always sucks to stand up in front of a class full of secondary colors to spout off
the many reasons I love being the only pure red in the school. Why I love being the only one here whose lineage can be traced all the way back to that special time in our history. The one color everyone else collectively hates.
