So true! We don't use LinkedIn in academia (thank god!) and this is how people can link a name on a paper to a face. Also great if you meet someone at a conference and you want to connect - the first thing I do is look up their website to get their email address!

Zaprvé v mém koutku lingvistiky pracuje v ČR jenom pár jednotlivců a zadruhé jsou publikace v rámci Modulu 1 běžně posílány na recenze odborníkům na danou problematiku ze zahraničí, takže tu Vaši kapitolu ze sborníku můžou klidně na posouzení poslat někomu do Španělska.

Ne, nevím a vy nejspíš neznáte specifika mého oboru. Právě proto existuje i kvalitativní hodnocení vědy, kdy konkrétní publikace hodnotí odborníci z daného oboru. Je samozřejmě na instituci, které publikace do M1 pošle, ale alespoň u nás na MU může každý ústav nominovat několik publikací za rok.

Tak proč to potom, až to vyjde, nenominujete za svůj ústav do hodnocení M25+ do části M1, která je specificky ustanovena pro kvalitativní hodnocení vědy, právě proto, že si Rada pro vědu a výzkum uvědomuje, že ne všechno jde hodnotit podle bibliometrie?

Můžete mi prosím jako laikovi vysvětlit, v čem se archeologie a klasická archeologie tak liší, že nemohou být na stejném ústavu? Jako psycholingvista mám taky pramálo společného s lidmi, co se věnují třeba historickému vývoji češtiny (ani nesdílíme metodu) a stejně jsme na stejném ústavu.

How good are LLMs at pragmatics in languages with little training data? In Czech 🇨🇿, current models do great on implicature and presupposition, but are still bad on information structure! Thanks for pointing that out, that's definitely something to compare our data too. I find the wrap-up stuff to be the most exciting part of the research too. I think it's very clear evidence that wrap-ups as a thing are real contra Stowe et al. (2018), who think they're not something special!

Does the aim with which we're reading matter? We ran identical stimuli with different post-SPR tasks - judgements, open and yes/no questions. RTs differed massively and varied wrap-up effects were seen. The good news is that classic psychling effects are stable across tasks! osf.io/preprints/ps...

It turns out that the major factor that determines whether you derive SIs with adjectives interacts with the extremene adjectives (in Morzycki's sense), whereas the minor factor seems to interact with adjective type (relative, min/max standard), dunno what it means yet, but it's interesting
