I almost forgot that Halloween night is pretty big for pirate radio stations, I did some listening before bed and caught the sign off of a station on 6950khz sending a SSTV signal at 02:55UTC.

A decoded Slow Scan TV signal showing a grainy black and white image of four people posing for a picture while holding masks to their chests. Recorded on 6950khz at 02:55UTC on Oct 31st 2025.

Most of the good ISS passes have been very late at night for me, but I was able to catch this image in the morning. These SSTV events have been a great benchmark on what I need to improve with my antenna system for future satellite attempts. #hamradio

A slightly grainy Slow Scan TV Picture received from the International Space Station. The image is captioned "2024 Highights: ARISS - Japan" and pictures an artist rendition of a Japanese lunar lander.

I'll never stop being amazed at talking across the country with a small QRP radio using only a few watts. #hamradio

It wasn't the greatest reception, but I was able to grab the latest SSTV Image from the International Space Station. Antenna is a jpole sitting in my attic. #hamradio

I'm not the biggest fan of winter but at least fall puts on a good show as a consolation.
