#GH It should have been her mad at herself over how she acted toward him. Then her fighting her feelings while he is doing him not even thinking about her. They should have let them do THEM FIRST instead of pushing dating. They weren't ready to be going on dates. It's all boring no chemistry.

#GH Kai is not the problem. The SL is the problem. He switched up too quick. The attitude he had with her at the hospital - he should have kept that! She needed to back off! I wish they didn't have him 'enamored' with her after her being the moral authority police again! BORING!

#GH I hate the whole Trina/Kai thing. He should have brushed her off after he finished the project. THAT would have been the better story and I said that Day 1. I know it's a soap and people like their romance but it's BORING. It's the Rory and Spencer SL all over again! That's why it's boring

#GH I'm already tired of Gio "reprimanding" her like he's the adult and she's the child. I don't mind him calling her out every now and then, but on the V Day episode it was too much. It was not cute or appealing. They will balance each other out but they need to start on that part of the SL now!

#GH It's clear Emma acts the way she does for a reason. There is a backstory there and hope it doesn't take forever to get to it. Gio will probably lean on her when it go over the edge over his parental reveal. I think he will switch up and go a bit dark. I see it but GET DO IT! Taking too long!

#GH This is just me as a writer talking not a fan of any couple. Chase and BLQ was silly. Chase is a handsome man and he is wasted on BLQ. I respect the actress, but let her do something else if she doesn't feel comfortable in love scenes. They need to do something else to show their love.

#GH What I"m going to say is not for everyone. I understand that. I realized after watching the Valentines's Day episodes this week the show really doe not know how to write romance. I don't even like romances like that and even I can write a better story. I also realize whey I struggle with soaps.

#GH I just couldn’t help with BHM and so much focus on family and legacies on this show why the blacks character don’t last past a few years. They aren’t around long enough to build their own legacies onscreen. So, it makes me wonder what black character on now will still be on in 3-10 years?

#GH Jordan and TJ were the same. Should have been leads in theory if the show cared about them to cast a better actress and actor and gave them meaty material. I feel the same way about the other black characters too. That’s why the black support for the black characters are what they are.

#Gh The opposite of Portia (Brook) is Jordan. Jordan has an amazing characterization on paper. Yet, Tanisha is gorgeous but not a good actress. In theory, Jordan should be a lead actress. Yet, even if they gave her the right material…Tanisha Can’t pull it off. She doesn’t have the range.

#GH Outside what Brook and Vernee bring to the table, and Sawandi to an extent…I don’t have interest in the others. I’m a black dark skinned woman who loves my people. Yet, I know what I see onscreen. I’ve watched acting a long time. Lots of different mediums.

#GH Well, I don’t think they took enough time to properly invest in the characterization of the black characters. Instead, they have had to lean on the abilities of the actual actress or actor. That’s been the issue for me!

#GH it’s the reason writers take so much time with creating characters- or they should. I understand a tv show or soap opera will be a bit different in this. Anyway, usually an extroverted person isn’t going to become introverted unless something traumatic happens. That’s how it works.

#GH Let me explain the difference: characterization is literally the essence of a character. Their characterization determines if they are introverted or shy or cunning or mysterious or a hardworker. I write books. As an author, we don’t usually deviate from a characterization.

Brook just doesn’t get enough to shine. I don’t like her characterization but that’s not Brook’s fault. I think Brook does what she can with what is given. There are others who may have better characterizations than her but their acting abilities are not good.

#GH Maybe the problem is that they don’t look at the black characters as prominent fixtures on the canvas so they take them for granted. None of them are treated like they are a big enough deal not to get swapped out.

Stella can be annoying at times, but Vernee always brings it!!! Vernee never brings a scene down because of her performances. I can’t say that about the others. Isaiah (Sawandi) is close to becoming that person too.
