The entire ref is not done yet, but I do want to share a comparison while I'm still here of how my persona's ref has looked and stylistically improved over the years (because I am proud) July '23 -> Jan '24 -> April-May '25 #artists #art #originalart

The original reference of the artist's persona without any outfits, from July 2023. The colours are the most desaturated out of all refs, the hair entirely uses angular lines, and overall the piece shows its age - being from a time much earlier in this art style's development

The first revision of the reference for the artist's persona, from January 2024. The style quality has noticeably improved, with more saturated colours and the sunset gradient being more prominent. The hair now takes on the form of partially angular lines and partially flowy ones, and the ears have changed to be longer and more perked up. The stance is much more relaxed.

The current revision of the reference of the artist's persona. The colour palettes are much more organised, and the quality has once again improved. The sunset gradients now take up more of their respective limbs, and the persona now has freckles that look like stars against her skin. The stance appears slightly more relaxed than the previous version, and there's a white outline around the entire character, separating her from the neutral grey background
