Juries, even in red states have been more and more reluctant in imposing them as well. The requirement that juries be unanimous now on this has also reduced this in red states.

To top it off, I made a mistake in my back of the envelope math, I multiplied the amounts by 10, so this in total is not even enough diesel to get us through a couple hours. He is betraying Ukraine with something that will do nothing on the actual markets but "big number"

His use of the term "tons" leads me to suspect this is a BS attempt at moving the markets. No one uses tons when talking about diesel or oil. Assuming he is not just BS'ing, this is about 7-21 million barrels, which is about only enough to cover 2 to 5 days of consumption. It ain't really a lot.

My question is "tons"??? Who the fuck measures diesel in tons??

Because a Senate majority will be critical and if Ossoff resigns, then a GOP Gov appoints his replacement if Bottoms doesn't win.

And in this case, it's so fucking stupid even on just a pragmatic matter. Being made a public martyr is likely EXCTLY what Hasan wants. There was a good reason we quietly and quickly gave OBL a burial at sea.

Just from a pragmatic standpoint, this is very stupid. A violent public death is EXACTLY what Hasan wants.

It's why we quickly and quietly gave OBL a burial at sea. The drank is a malicious fucking idiot.

All three of the runners at the back of the pack(but still very much with the pack still unlike the drunk) appear to be female.

Doesn't appear to be particularly fast (not sure the full distance they are going either, but given no formation, basic 2 mile run?) But he is obviously struggling compared to the pack.

radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
He is obviously struggling way more than the soldiers in front of him, and they are not exactly pushing that hard at all. Course we used to stick the drunks in the back to when I was in as well.

It's one of the reasons I think he won't retire. Not sure he could stand not being an unelected high priest despite all the signs Dems are going to dynamite the SC first chance they get.

radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
And Jackson while fine as a candidiate, is not quite at the same level as the Dems in TX, OH and IA

Likely both.

radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
He thinks he should be a high priest that no one is allowed to criticize. Only thing that might throw a wrench in things is he will want to all but dictate his replacement and not sure is the admin will actually do that.

Yeah, the more extreme the nominee, the harder it gets.

Not sure the GOP could push a nominee through in the lame duck. They are going to have a bad absentee issue I think.

The only mistake was pardoning him. I could MAYBE be talked into a commutation, but only after he went through a public trial and was convicted.

Haven't taken any multi day trips in it yet, but I talked to more than a few who have and it seems the navigation is fairly good. And I am sure it will continue to improve. And seeing charging stations showing up in a lot of places to the point that charging deserts are getting smaller and smaller

radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Yeah, my Ioniq 5 is about 330 at 100%. Only about 60% of the range of the hybrid I traded in but completely adequate for about any long trip I would contemplate.

radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
What year? My 26 model has a setting to include charging stops to a longer trip. And I think Google maps also has that setting(kind of like avoiding tolls or scenic routing)

I am in reasonably pissed that the media decide to highlight Calcutta Oh , an unincorporated suburb exurb of East Liverpool in the Browns Steelers game and then show scenes from East Liverpool and nothing from Calcutta itself.

Which is shocking, yes compared to the Atlanta giant it is not that large but it is a sizable city/region in reality and to ignore it? I mean we had Senators and Gov appear in my hometown of 15000 at the time in Ohio.

And are done by skilled medical professionals, vast majority of whom will not get directly involved in executing someone.
010
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
To an extent yes, but that is supposed to be consensual AND for a person already facing a huge amount of pain and suffering already.
000
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
AGAIN, not 100% effective or painless 100% of the time.
100
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
That's mostly because people with the skill to use these drugs often will refuse to be involved, and the supplies are often sketchy because companies that make these drugs want no association. And the relative rarity of the executions also means, no matter the method, its being done by amatures.

It's still now 100% There are very real horror stories of people who were still awake and aware, just unable to react during surgery. We don't actually KNOW how anesthesia works the way it does, or why it fails when it does.

radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Actually no, even some of the most violent methods have "failed" enough to be noted. No way to have a death penalty that does not end up torturing to death a small but substantial number of people.
200
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Philosophically, I recognize the existence of crimes that deserve it. But no judicial system is going to be able to apply it fairly and without any errors. A long jail sentence allows mistake to be corrected. Once someone is dead, "whoops" is not aqequate.
1130
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
That method has historically ALSO failed to kill the prisoner more than once.
160
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
There is no method that is 100% of the time humane. The death penalty will involve some small number of people being tortured to death whatever the intention of the executioners.
470
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
That isn't 100% either. People HAVE survived firing squads.
030
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
No matter the method you choose, it is never going to be both 100% effective AND painless. There is always going to be outliers because of the variance in individuals biology among other things. Even really over the top physical methods are not 100%
010
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Human biology is too varied for any chemical poison attempt to be both 100% effective and painless. Hell, even being shot in the head is not 100%. Even beheading was known to leave the person alive for more than a bit on occasion.
020
radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
Don't be too sure of that. This involves relatively few people who would have criminal liability, it would be one of the easier things to go after this regime once they are out of power and would have a big ROI for enforcing some accountability.

radgen.bsky.social @radgen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I had it downloaded while at work today. Really don't have time to dive deep in yet either, but did just get done starting a new run, got to just before entering White Orchard. Was almost tempted to re-run the whole trilogy.
