There's a river with a small trail near my office. Morning and mid day pre-lunch walks with Karlos are, hands down, the highlights of any day at the office.
My dog Karlos chilling on a trail next to the local river.

Yesterday I did 69km of Istria, longest distance I ever did. Exhausting: yes, but the landscape is amazing. If you’re looking for a place for some trail running, you won’t go wrong with Istria. Few more photos in comment.

Test coverage metrics are one of the tools for evaluating the quality of tests without reading them. Which is kind of relevant in the age of coding agents. So here, a short light intro to 4 different ones: line, branch, path and condition coverage. radanskoric.com/articles/how...

Btw, this is what I ended up doing, if I can accomplish the same thing without custom code I'll be happy to replace it! :) Depending on how precise you need it, you might also use concurrency control with discard behaviour, but in my case it wasn't important.
# Enqueue only if there isn't an already enqueued instance waiting.
    # This is how our debouncing mechanism works.

I own 3 pairs of Vibram Five fingers. I mix them up w. regular running shoes. Love them but it’s a slow build up. Took me ~1.5 years to slowly build up to 10-15km in them. I feel less prone to injuries because of them. Marathons I still do in regular shoes. Why are you asking?

Just finished Andrey Karpathy's epic 3.5h Deep dive into LLMs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xTG... It closed so many gaps in my mental model of how they work! I recommend taking notes for personal recollection, I took a bunch. And yes, I know I write like that a child that just learned to write. 😄

RailsWorld in Amsterdam was intense but also very rewarding. Met old friends, new friends, online friends. I'm writing up a blog post to sum it all up, but for now, here's a photo of the most intense, stresful moment: hooked up to mic, people coming in, waiting for the start ...

I'm working on the web version of masterhotwire.com and I like how meta it is. It's a version of the book built using the technology from the book and I'm using this unfinished version to look up things I forgot while I'm working on finishing it.

Ok, I'll be honest. I was a bit skeptical about the value of the addition of "it" as an implicit keyword for the block parameter. Until now. Now I'm sold on it. :) #ruby

I love it when Ruby makes me smile with its elegance. Need to find next few months that start on a Monday? No problem. (P.S. yes, there's some ActiveSupport in there) #ruby #rubyonrails
