Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 4h

Two feet to the left and I'd have been split in half! Careful!

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 6h

[ Riley opens his mouth to say something to saint-michel but decides against if. Instead, he just smiles at them ] Mm.. okay. I'm gonna get moving then. No sense in sticking around so he can hit a sitting target.

📲 Wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last! Do what you must!

010

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 7h

...do you want me to fight, or do you want me to back down? because that sounds a lot like you're telling me to back down.

100

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 8h

I didn't say I was going to let you get up and heal either.

120

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 8h

I'm not healing you. Get up yourself.

110

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 13h

Looking up, there are two moons in the sky. Neither give answers so he rubs his eyes until they're fused back into a single light watching over him. To his left, a twig snaps. So much for a moment of rest.

020

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 13h

"...granddaughter..?" As she disappears, Riley flops down into the grass. Just a quick moment of rest while he tries to piece out who her granddaughter is. He knows so many fantastical people now. Chiyo? Lyra? Ichika? Someone else? Unovan, Kalosian... He isn't sure.

120

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 13h

"So soon. . ? We only just met again. . ." He frowns, but he can't keep her here. Here isn't even his. Shaking his head- "You don't have to be so formal! Or apologetic. I don't think it suits you. . . I'm sure we'll run into each other again!"

100

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 14h

He nods along. Their reasons may be vastly different, but his name isn't the same it was at the start either. For that alone he can't call her anything else, wrong as it feels. Itching at him. "Riley Aun Day. You already knew that though didn't you?"

100

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 14h

"It's no big issue! I don't hold grudges about stuff so small!" A clarification he wouldn't have made before, and a small truth on its own. "Tend to call you. . . So what is your real name, 'Maria'?" An 'acquaintance' wouldn't have been allowed here, he thinks. One path at a time.

110

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 15h

Then it's right back to his usual light cadence. "I don't listen either though. Not to words of caution, and certainly not to someone who still hasn't told me their name. I'm stubborn like that!~"

100

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 15h

A tilt of his head as he looks at her. There's confusion in his voice this time, laced with.. something souring. "You. . . aren't listening. . . I haven't considered very much at all." For a moment he doesn't continue, trying to place her. Scanning her face.

What would it take to get you to change your route for someone if you were a contestant?

010

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 09/10/2026

"Where better to learn than from someone so steeped in it? It's not harshing my sunlight. It's giving the cold light of the moon the chance to be basked in too. I don't have to give in to the violence. I might. But I don't have to."

100

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 09/10/2026

"Good to know.. Didn't make it that far in my first battle against them." The pull to the way she says it is hard to ignore. The waves, the moon. "Why do you sound so sad about it?" He hums, staring down at the box in his hands. "...Why not? Why not have an experience like this, guided by them?"

100

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 09/10/2026

"No, but I'll keep my eyes peeled." There's a hint of confusion in his voice. There are so many strange things happening though, no time to question sandpits. "Unovan as far back as it matters. I just asked and they said yes." What, like it's hard to get in?

"Oh, don't be sorry! Were you the thing moving through the woods that wasn't Koux then?" Lots of questions for a stranger. If Koux isn't on them yet... "Yeah, let's walk and talk."

100

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 09/10/2026

"Thank you! It's only an interruption if Koux finds us- er, me, again."

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 09/10/2026

"Oh- I.. didn't know anyone else was going to be here? Or knew the way. You aren't here to hunt me, are you? Saint-Michel mentioned I may be hunted by something else soon..." Looking down at the box of treats in her hands, he doesn't think so. Something about her feels familiar, too.

Speaking of tv and romance and tension, I'm PMing you something.

000

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 09/10/2026

I dunno, more than once when you two were on screen together the tension was giving me secondhand embarrassment.

120

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 08/10/2026

A LOT less romantic aside from whatever was going on with Kanna and Samuel.

Riley ✌️ @rad.poke.surf · 08/10/2026

I was gonna make a joke about them mixing reality TV and the league but that's just Unovas league rn anyways.
