Honestly I think its a miscommunication because I think what they meant was rook might have a 4x4 with no backpacks but 4x2 would be a dedicated "safe zone" which would make sense because thats still an element with a push and pull.

the Rook changes area bit of a big question mark and I have a feeling they're still work shopping it but it makes sense that they don't want people to be Rook mains, they want rooks to be a way to get back on your feet in dire straits.

also no disagreements, dinner bells for a blue key where a room has basically 3 blue LMGs and maybe a volt shotgun you will never use is ridiculous. I'm glad theyre limiting it to gold, the game felt too Consequential for even minor actions like running between PoIs being so loud at launch

I think i'm interested in how they manage to integrate a loop in the economy between PVE, PVP and PVEVP, like they say they want to in march. For a company with alleged borrowed time, they are speaking about 2027 like its a given.

I am game for the people with 10 yrs of d2 experience working on this because i think they can nail it but it sucks it came to listening to people who fundamentally did not want to engage with the core gameplay

its the same as the people arguing "Dead Rising didn't need a timer" yes it did man thats why the game has it. They made two games with a loose timer and the games were genuinely worse for it.

I just think theres a lot of rich fulfilling experiences made today you can find on steam both mainstream AAA and small indie bedroom project but theres always been an issue of the gaming enthusiast audiences enjoy making assumptions about something more than actually engaging with it.

right now i think the marathon die hards havve the same thing a lot of maligned game communities have where theres a sense of pride that some parts of their favorite thing sucks because that means they can cast out the non believers of the gospel. Video game fandoms are very religious.

I think i get it, I was pretty decent at destiny raiding and people would still say things like "garden of salvation is buggy i dont pick stuff up" no you just never took gambit mechanics seriously enough to track your motes.

the game itself is destiny if guardians died in four bullets in the best case scenario from everything so more slower and more brutal but still has the same bones

pve marathon can also be something special and they have ten years of game design experience in that aspect so i think what they come up with might be another witch queen moment but who knows.

think they make more interesting pve stuff for it at this point i think they have famously been not great at competitive game design and it shows with long term health problems.
