Our school cafeteria was in the elementary school. This meant crossing the unpaved (and frequently muddy) parking lot, a street, and the playground to eat lunch and then making the same walk back. The food was not good. Or we could drive to the gas station and get Hot Stuff pizza.

Possibly worth noting from my adventures yesterday: I saw lots of signs for candidates in local races. The only signs I saw for statewide races were for Klobuchar. There were a troubling number of Lindell signs still up in Redwood Falls though.

My original plan for yesterday was to visit Pipestone National Monument. I had never been there and realized I should go before it gets fucked up in some horrible way (I’m not aware of any plans, but *gestures*). It’s a beautiful and peaceful place.

I ventured over to St Paul to pick up a college friend at the fairgrounds so we could get brunch with some other friends and catch up. Driving to the fairgrounds at 10:00 this morning via Snelling and Como wasn’t horrible? I’m very confused. Also, Finnish Bistro is delightful.
