A twirl around the cemetery yesterday. The holly is so cheerful and Christmassy. I tried to tell it that it was too early, but I think it's the sort of tree that would do Christmas every day if it could, with fairy lights up all year, and a yule log in the cupboard, just in case. Have a good day! Xx

All quiet this morning. Here's another from yesterday's walk. I liked the reflections and the colourful boats. Have a good day. Xx

our muscles atrophy.
I predict we'll need gyms for our brains too, once Al

Piddling down this morning. Yesterday I toddled into town. Although it was grey, there were spots of colour in North Parade Passage and Abbey Green. Have a good day! xx

Ventured to Bristol yeaterday. Lots of balloons up as we drove in. This one caught my eye when we got there. Have a good day! Xx

Building up the walking nicely now. Made it to Iford and back after dog training yesterday, where the first autumn colours are starting to show. Have a good day! Xx

Had a walk into town yesterday to see a physio. Very helpful - turned into 50 minutes therapy and 10 minutes foot wrangling. I left with lots of food for thought (and some exercises). Happily, it was another sunny day, and the Abbey and its environs were looking good. Have a good day! xx

I pottered down to Widcombe yesterday in glorious sunshine for a coffee and a chat. Taking my feet to a physio today for some advice. Hoping she won't just look at me and say, 'You're 62, you've had it' and throw me on the scrapheap. 😂 Have a good day! xx

Lots of rain overnight, and a few large drops overhead this morning, too. Here's another from my canal walk. I've taken the colour out, as the blue-grey smoke belching out rather took away from the beauty of the light! Have a good day! Xx

Deprived of the very nearest bit of canal path, I sought other sections yesterday. It's a long time since I walked along to Sydney Gardens - so lovely to do it in the warm sunshine yesterday. Have a good day. xx

We had a twirl around the canal yesterday as this little stretch is closing again for a couple of weeks for more work to the path. I shall miss it. There's nothing better than walking by water to soothe the soul and boost the spirits. Have a good day. Xx

Picking up my rejected painting turned into a lovely outing when I met a pal afterwards for coffee, cake and commiseration in the cafe on Pulteney Bridge. You can't really get a more touristy spot, but it's fantastic! Nice to be out and about. Have a good day! xx

Raining this morning. Yesterday, I delivered a pastel drawing to the Victoria Art Gallery, then nipped into Waitrose. As I emerged the annual Jane Austen Festival promenade was going past. This is Bath at its daftest & most joyful. I watched for a little while, then plodded home. Have a good day! xx

A mild, inoffensive morning & two mild, inoffensive dogs. Makes a nice change. Summy nearly pulled me over yesterday. Walking S is always unpredictable - walking her with a dodgy foot is scary! Anyway, B and I had a nice potter by the canal later, and we're all friends again now. Have a good day! xx

Spent the weekend at St Hilda's Crime Fiction Weekend in Oxford. It was perfect in every way. Great speakers, everyone friendly, nice room, beautiful gardens. I managed some writing and painting, made notes during the talks which gave me plenty to ponder. I hope to return. Have a good day! xx

No new photos so I nipped outside to snap my begonias. Regular readers will recall that they were eaten by a visiting roe deer earlier this year. Amazingly, they are back and flourishing. Nature is resilient, isn't it? But we can't rely on that & need to do our bit. Have a good day! Xxx See less
