Lore Olympus volume 11 is out today! I can’t believe the final book has arrived. I have a lot of feelings about this (more than I expected.) Writing that I’m grateful, thankful, or have gratitude is true, but it also feels like not enough.

hello to any editors who want me to draw comics for them, I've redone my portfolio website and now the sequential works are both ample and in sequence. same goes for cover work, plenty of paintings and comic covers updated to be far more recent. www.carsonthornart.com

I use an alter ego, otherwise I have no sense of confidence and nothing gets done.

meryl streep in the movie 'she devil'. She has a big hat and a big laptop.

I'm in the throes of finishing my thumbs/1st draft of my gn. Hand to god, I thought I wrote a really comprehensive outline for myself. But I have no idea how all these characters are moving from scene to scene. T_T

Cast a role, other than the actual casting. Tim Robinson as the Phantom in Joel Schumacher's The Phantom of the Opera.

I watched FireBrand last night. Please create a Side-eye category for the Oscars and award it to Junia Rees. Amazing.

Someone pointed out a typo I made on Instagram this morning. I'm heavily dyslexic, so this is not an uncommon occurrence (albeit embarrassing). But hey, at least I still write the words myself. 🤷‍♀️

Lore Olympus volume 10 made it onto the NYT bestsellers list! Thank you so much to everyone for your support, especially over all this time.

Persphone of Lore Olympus with Angel and Devil Hades sitting on her shoulders. This is funny because they are Greek gods, who are famously morally grey. However, one could argue that depicting Hades as both an angel and a devil could convey his duality as a character.

I tried setting up my walking pad under my desk. But walking and drawing are actually very difficult.

When I'm making comic panels, I often get a bit lost in regards to where the characters are from view-to-view. So I'll make a stupid little sketch with a camera I can move around.

Can someone please educate me on the point of the toast rack? Surely all the toast would be stone cold within 5 minutes?

The formula in tiny-sample sized beauty products is superior to trick you in to buying the full sized products, and it's never as nice.

I've been replaying the 90s version of FF7. I did a little study of one of the animated scenes.

I have been writing and thumbnailing for most of this year. So I haven't had that much progress to share or talk about. I did like this doodle from yesterday, though.

Really struggling with the upload quality this morning. Anyway! I haven't drawn much of Hades and Persephone this year, so I decided to treat myself since LO volume 10 is coming out next week.

Swimming pools are used frequently in the world of Olympus to convey the theme of recovery. This is the concept for the Barnes and Noble edition of Lore Olympus volume ten.
