Ridiculed and written off, Slowdive produced a meditative post rock masterpiece before quietly splitting up. Joe Banks reflects on why no one was listening at the time, and why we all need to listen now #Slowdive’s Pygmalion at 30 buff.ly/3EmlR1A

Trump’s cabinet shall from here on be known as the Jackass Brigade. They are the stupidest bunch to come along in all of American history.

Tonight, on my final show of 2024, I am joined by Nat Cramp of @soniccathedral.bsky.social. We discuss his record label’s 20th anniversary, those Shoegazer Ts and the six songs he chose from both the OG period and current era. (Spoiler alert: he picked Slowdive twice)

Yesterday, @rachelgoswell.bsky.social was kind enough to let me interview her for Kaleidoscape, after-we got to say hi backstage. Pretty amazing moment to meet Neil, Nick, Christian, Rachel and Nick Willes covering for Simon this tour (missed a picture with him), everyone was SOOO nice ♥️♥️♥️

A magical night of music @slowdiveofficial.bsky.social Thanks for posting me on your story @rachelgoswell.bsky.social ! Things have been pretty dark in the US, but it’s moments like these that make you realize there are still great people worth fighting for #shoegaze #pittsburgh

Meanwhile at home Philly D has had a stand off with a very fat squirrel. I moved house two weeks before this tour started and we believe this is one of her first squirrel sightings.

people who use goodreads: jeff bezos owns goodreads and if you want a better alternative there is a black woman owned company called storygraph that you can use to replace it. you can transfer all of your data from goodreads to storygraph and have your mind be free of trumpie jeff bezos! win win. 💙
