I stopped going to Pride in London a few years back after some awful experiences. (Simply put: security guard told me bisexuality wasn't real, and drunk heteros asked me to prove my bisexuality by kissing the wife. I don't like being erased or harrassed for entertainment.)

Called mum on WhatsApp. Not sure how but accidentally added 2 previous colleagues, a guy who freelanced for me 10+ years ago, maid of honour from my friend's wedding, and my bestie. Thankfully no one picked up other than mum. Bestie immediately called back thinking I was in danger. It's been a day.

TW: death My partner's grandmother died this morning after an agonising 4 days in hospital. HR told my partner she needs to tell them TODAY when she wants to take her compassionate leave for the funeral. She hasn't even been dead 6 hours. Really putting the compassion into compassionate leave
