Plus, for a lot of people their motivation is school and getting away from abusive situations. My motive was helping people, I need to get to college in order to become a Pathologist and hopefully study fibromyalgia and other autoimmune disorders and I'm far too dumb and broke to do that on my own

I mean yeah but that's due to your upbringing. You are not everyone. A lot of people I know who are in infantry either don't have a very strong will to live or are from a military family and have some idealized version of a soldier in their head cause they weren't warned of the bad things.

Even I feel old here cause all these people just speak in brain rot terms and I'm only 20. It's kind of irritating tbh, it's like the fact that we could be sent overseas and become a very easy to hit bomb target isn't gonna be real to them until it happens.

Dude you know medics are a thing, right??? We make sure the 18 and 19 year olds who joined right after highschool(which is a VAST majority of the army, 25 is old here) sent out by some officer to some hostile environment don't die, or at least not in pain. The infantry is crazy, not the whole army.

Dude unless you're infantry or artillery you shouldn't be shooting people. If you are we've already lost and you're dead. Plenty of lawyers, lab techs, medics, sports science people, and other support MOSs in the army. Lots of people who don't want to kill people, they just needed to escape home.

? Nah that's just science. Both the male and female brain finish developing at around 25. Honestly it'd be an argument against the pay gap cause female and male brains reach maturity at the same time. As far as I know tho the only thing growing after childhood is your white brain matter.

Finally took a picture of one of the loud ass frogs that have taken over my pool. Also, does anyone know where to give away old cameras? Like maybe Goodwill? I'd feel bad selling em when I'm not sure if they even still work.
*not one of the loud ass pool frogs(at least not from my pool)

🚨Wolves are under attack and need your help! 🚨 The House could soon vote on HR 845. The bill seeks to reinstate the Trump admin's 2020 gray wolf delisting rule + prevents judicial review. If this bill passes, wolves will be slaughtered. Call on your reps to vote NO on HR 845 ➡️ bit.ly/43UB7gG

To add onto that, do you think that someone who enjoys different forms of storytelling(graphic novel, movie, novel) can write a good manuscript for any of those types of storytelling after a little research on how it needs to be formatted and paced?

I’ve got a question for anyone who’d like to give their two cents. Do you think that being an avid manga/manhua/manhwa reader is the same as being an avid novel reader? Now, here is a funny photo for your troubles:

Yeah, I definitely agree that a lot of people are overreacting over a clip that spans 2 minutes in a room that is obviously not their permanent enclosure. I just also don’t really like zoos when compared to other conservation methods so I ended up getting side-tracked, my bad.

Ah okay I haven’t heard of those accreditation programs. In that case, it’s nice that there’s a way to ethically educate people on animals in a hands-on way. Thanks for letting me know!

Aren’t zoos objectively much worse than other preservation methods(like wildlife reserves)? A lot of zoos don’t usually take rescues, most just barely meet regulation, and a lot of zoo animals end up needing to be rehabilitated at a wildlife reserve to be released into the wild.

Zoos are fundamentally different from wildlife preserves though. The animals in zoos usually have no chance of being able to survive in the wild and they usually get their animals through exchange or breeders anyways so it’s really not a good practice as far as preservation goes, IMO.

I draw a map of the world and communities and then splice together different blueprints to make the layouts of the buildings. I’m currently trying to learn how to use FreeCAD so I can make more unique buildings instead of just cubes with doors and windows.

Ay I’ve got another writing question for anyone who sees this. How do you create the world inside your book? Do you use a website? Draw? Make a real-world model? Use the Sims? Also, here’s another funny photo for your troubles.

Ay don’t worry, that’s just your brain taking the time to cook up another amazing thing to write. Once you’re out of your slump you’ll be writing up something awesome.

I personally like urban fiction cause I can get all the little details of the world in my head, which makes it a lot easier for me to write about it. I find speculative fiction more fun though, you can change the laws of nature and defy logic as much as you want.

Hi, I’ve got a writing question for fiction writers. When writing fiction, do you find it more enjoyable to world-build for speculative fiction or urban fiction? Also, which one is more fun in you guy’s opinion? Also here is a funny pic for your troubles:
