Plexamp phoning it in with their minimal surfaced stats considering how much data they have access to. Cements their place as "Barely clearing the extremely low bar of 'Best in home media server'". I think the big stand out is Kpop Demon Hunters, given how recently it came out. We listen to it A LOT

Interestingly, my home audiobook server has way better stats than Audible. Not to say audible doesn't collect them, they just don't bother surfacing them to their product...I mean customers. (My audiobookshelf stats are very skewed because I just onboarded to it in Oct)
"year in review" stats from audiobookshelf showing 2 books finished, 5 days, 14 hours, and 9 minutes spent listening over 28 sessions and 4 books. Top Narrator was Michael Kramer and Top Author was Brandon Sanderson. Top Genre is Science Fiction & Fantasy, and the Top Month was September."year in review" stats from audiobookshelf showing 2 books finished, 5 days, 14 hours, and 9 minutes spent listening over 28 sessions and 4 books. The books finished this year are "Wind and Truth" and "Rhythm of War" by Brandon Sanderson, as well as "10% Happier" by Dan Harris and "A Whole New Mind" by Daniel Pink"Year in review" from audiobookshelf showing 324 books from 233 authors added to the library, account for a 169.72 gigabytes of storage space and 182 days, 5 hours, and 15 minutes of play time.

These numbers are exaggerated due to onboarding to this software this year.Listening stats from audible, showing roughly 100 hours listened in August, 75 hours in September, 5 in October, 75 in November, and 25 in December.

Well, Google is finally driving me off of the last service of theirs that I use. You mean all of those services that I didn't ask for, didn't sign up for, and disable as soon as I'm able to (and continue to disable whenever I notice they "somehow" get re-enabled)?
The pricing for your Google Workspace Business Plus subscription will change beginning July 22, 2025

The circled ones are the new options. I don't know why I bothered blanking out the domain...it's very easy to find.... 😅
Circled two Gemini settings that appeared in Google Workspace administration panel after Gemini went live. Even if you made sure to disable Gemini before it left beta, these two new settings appeared enabled by default.

Gurdy’s first trip out of the house since it has arrived. Heading out to SoCal Pleasure Faire. I won’t be playing at the faire, but didn’t want to miss out on practice time. So now my friends “get to enjoy” my practicing at night in the Airbnb 😅

If you're a Google Workspace customer and you have already opted out of gemini for your workspace during the beta, you will need to do so again for GA. Coming by end of this month (April 2025).
Screenshot with the following text.

Dear administrator,

We’re writing to let you know that the Google Workspace apps (formerly Google Workspace extensions) setting in the Gemini app will transition from beta to general availability (GA) by the end of April 2025.

This change will enable the Gemini app to interact with Calendar, Docs, Drive, Gmail, Keep, and Tasks, providing more context to your prompts.

We’ve provided additional information below about this change.
What this means for your organization

Key Change:
When the Workspace apps setting becomes generally available, it will be turned “ON” by default. This will override the current Workspace apps Beta setting.

This was a fun exchange I had with codeium, wondering if one of my long time python practices was described in pep 8 or some other standard, or is just a common habit. It literally hallucinates two quotes and then _links_ to where that quote isn't. It's wild!
Asking codeium if "if name is equal to main" is documented in pep 8, and codeium saying it isAsking codeium to quote pep 8 where it talks about "if name is equal to main". Codeium gives support quotes, and supplying a link. Then I respond that the quoted text isn't present in the link, and codeium admitting it made it all up.
