I have had the misfortune of working with badly formatted code more times than I would have liked... My classmates didn't care in CS class and just fucked everything up, like forgetting semicolons, using the wrong brackets or mismatching/forgetting them, copying ChatGPT's outputs in the wrong place

I'm not an expert, but afaik inference isn't the problem, it takes a minimal amount of energy per request, but the problem is training which is significantly more computationally taxing. Don't know how it compares to video streaming tho

Selfhost my own email as well, and it works for email 2FA if I need it, but for the most part I use TOTPs. I have my own SSO with Authentik, and I use TOTP for it. Selfhosting email is its own nightmare however (still mad at my ISP for not providing rDNS)
