10.11 Ryousangata Nike x Sousaku Shikikan (Shouri no Megami: Nikke Just had a light Nikke Doujin (SFW) in the tabs. It's actually felt a bit too light in recent story, tho yet to read the Hansel & Gretel story yet Cute to give the grunts some spotlight even if it's still light romance there

>Smug about the worsening state of Crunchyroll "I've already heard all these stories" >switched off his Problem of Anime bait >languid talk about anime I'm not interested in >really tries hard for Vlads love comparing to past Oishii's Urusei Yatsura It's annoying, but not as bad as the Bri'sh-ness

Oh yeah starting and rushing Meitantei, late than never I guess and I remember people meming that just by ep 5 we already got a messy couple therapy ep AND faerie child abuse so soon, nice. It's a little "too" grounded so the girls don't immediately pop, but having actual drama again is such a plus

Genuinely one of the most painful experiences of anti-onboarding for new interested nerds Partially fault on whether that card shop clerk was genuinely ignorant of Magic or straight up under duress to push collabs, and RIGHT BEFORE MAGIC'S MULTIYEAR ERA ENDING SET I'm so mad at Hasbro man

*smoking after watching 2 different mediums have overt Sisyphus allegories* Is Charlie Brown, the imagined happy Sisyphus of Americana Suburbia????

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

oh, so that's Restarts hook, Snow White going full Slayer of Evil would be quite a turn. Betting it's a fake but who knows since this is a fan fave sequel hmmm

000

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

take a shot every time a card spells out "Cannot Target Graveyard" or "Once per turn" or "cannot be special summoned" etc because they never standardized keywords and Yugioh begging you to run force of will to not get OTK'd Didn't help that Foxcade hand them literal $100s in card like Christmas

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Almost forgot to make, but Swim Swim was an absolute menace, there's maybe a better way to skew literal child Yandere who kills her mentor while shaping her entire psychology around a post-humous version of Ruler to become the peak Innocent Monster Might LN need for more characterization by 8 KILLS

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

10.5 Magical Girl Raising Project WHAT IF KR RYUKI JUST HAD ASAKURA, GAI, TOJO AND EVEN MITCHY but also were cute girls so it makes it Ho- I mean more tragic Seemingly actually solid as a Tragical Battle Royale but also oof, it is EXACTLY the DECONSTRUCTING MAGICAL GIRL bit people blame Madoka for

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject And that's the finale while actually better than feared, it kinda still feels like JUST a [good tragic battle royale] that's Magical Girl themed (as far as Otaku can read the database) but a couple areas could be tuned to have real Thematics beyond TRAGICAL GIRLS NEED BETTER

010

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Well that's one last thread to clean up by destroying the compact (until seq), tho revving Ripple so Snow White literally never dirties her hands when it could've been the one time she breaks could've sealed the deal, but eh, maybe that'd be TOO cynical even for this mangaka

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Oh, I guess the lore isn't really more than "being cutesy and friends is boring, LET'S JUST KILL EACH OTHER" tho I wonder if there's a swing that all those shounen guys going "ew girls show and boring iyashikei, WHERE'S MY VIOLENCE" and this is a bitter jab of OK HERE YA GO

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Oh is this like the 2nd or 3rd proper Magical Girl Transformation in the entire show? Yeah, I know the whole bit about THESE GIRLS AREN'T TRUE MAGICAL GIRLS so they wouldn't appease the proper kid shoujo line but I feel like it could've tied into...some resolve or revelation

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Up to the end, and I'd at least give MGRP a solid B+ if you can stomach it. Pretty right levels of tragedy for all girls even when playing the level of exploiting kindness is high, but it feels short on tying a theme as much as like Ripple and Snow White not talking much hmm

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Are you kidding me Cranberry was the en-media-res reveal and she goes out like this? Oh and was spoiled but still wild, fucking team killed Tama cuz "uh Magical Girls can't reveal their identity" taken too literal. Don't know how well the fast-tragic-story works but rip lore

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject FUUUUUUCCCCKKK NOOOOOO, WE SHOULD'VE HAD ALICE AT LEAST IN THE FINAL 4 NOOOOOO Oh and the twins just end like that, I know they were fodder minions but like damn girls, getting cheapshotted into counter-killed by Winter-prison THEN Cranberry is humiliating to go

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Kinda mad Sister Nana goes out just like that, not even pushing a late wild card for her love. But also not even a breather for "haha did we say 8 could survive, I mean half that haha, oh don't worry, we won't cut that further for the final round eps totally" ARISU PLZ LIVE

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject PAIN, but at least we got one fight on the side-girls Calamity Jane comes in with whole swath of civilian kills but 0 Magical Girls...but SWIM SWIM HAD TO ROB TOP SPEED UGH but yeah that heavy-handed HOPE I DON'T DIE IN 6 MONTHS preggers sure was loud...do we tell the hubby?

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Other words, we got both Top Speed's obvious Love Wife post-deliquent hard contrast to ABUSIVE MOM Calamity Jane We're full edge on "I Became a Magical Girl just to kill people" time so totally on point for late-night Mahou Shoujos, but IF YOU DON'T FIGHT YOU WON'T SURVIVE

120

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Like it's always painful to have the too naively nice for their good couple's turn but oof, they REALLY have to twist the knife (hah...ah) with it being in much Nana's fault for her lover's death It's one of those parts of the genre where death flags are blatant but paid off

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Hearing John's LGS story and having a nerd migraine, that somehow he missed out THE LITERAL GOTHIC HORROR SET WITH ACTUAL ZOMBIES, a living ruined world UNLEASHES WORLD EATING ELDRAZI, or the decade long PHYREXIAN ASSIMILATION INTO LIVING OIL, hell even the world where VEHICLES DO LEARN KUNG FU AGH

Wilhelt's Zombie precon: Undead Unleashed, featuring Black Zombies frankensteined together by Gothic Horror plane Innistrad's crazed necromancy

don't really wanna dive into the drama while it's still hot, but got youtoo algorithm'd a There Will be Brawl vid and then got jump scared hard

031

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Aura-monster accusations aside, glompy sexy Shaula was another over-eccentric character in Re:Zero's already high-concentrate Otaku Base but I liked the recaffirmation of Julius and Ram Tho I wonder if I'm a little number last time, the themes of self-esteem through "forgotten" I want an essay on

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

10.3 Re:Zero S4 Guess amnesia-personage is also Re:Zero as well Kinda funny paired a lot of other areas where a repetition of a character scaling a tower to redefine themselves THROUGH their bond wound up working well, much less a "new" Subaru living up to well Subaru's own achievements, it's neat

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

9.30 Limbus Company Canto X Borne absurdly alone, Staked and Objectified by Society's panopticon, we must face the terrifying unknown future. Chained by the bonds we make, we will [Face the Fear], [reBuild the EGO] Can check [artsy RPGmaker game] off the checklist, WAY dense, perhaps too ambitious

100

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

oh I forgot to check self-status earlier in the Canto so idk if it's pre-boss but also when I said Imagine Sisyphus parrying the boulder, I didn't mean death/fate itself here but here we go (oops forgot healing)

000

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject also also, do you think in the middle of a Death Battle show, having a "literally unkillable" girl show up to ally our pour grieving MC after all her life-supports got cut is too good to be true? Or is it not-Marisa having the most blatant death flags of "totally preggers"?

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject I used to think "give tragic flashback-story" was pretty cheap before handing out death flags, but surprisingly it makes MGRP pretty quick and breezy in pace, but also yeah having the high-aggro cow-girl have "daughter of prostitute sex-harassed all life" is a bit on the nose

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject DAMN THAT'S COLD, absolute Snow White humilation show, "power-up items" to buff all the enemy factions, with the trio post-rule squad kitted out and now MEGPOID IS FUCKING DEAD Wonder if it'd be more impactful if they didn't spoil abilities in intermission breaks oops

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Fuck FUCK I knew all the death flags were there (its better than what was meme'd) but LA PUCELLE IS SO ROBBED FUCKING CRANBERRY AUDIO HALLUCINATIONS FUCK It's all rough hills from here half way there guys

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject THEY FOUGHT IN A LITERAL ROCK QUARRY AND CRANBERRY IS JUST BATTLE HUNGRY, THIS REALLY IS JUST KAMEN RIDER RYUKI AGAIN, HAVE TRAGICAL GIRLS JUST BEEN KAMEN RIDER RYUKI ALL THE WAY DOWN??????? Also Hardgore Alice is legit one of the coolest names for a gothic lolita girl

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject HOLY SHIT BUTCH-TRADWIFE YURI IN MY DEATH GAMES, HURRY GIRLS GO BE HAPPY ELSEWHERE Also, is that straight up Doraemon reference? Wonder how deep any westerner would've caught these gags when airing (idk myself lol), but oops, guess the joke is real and now 2 magic GalPals

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject FUCK, RULER IMMEDIATELY DIED IN THE FIRST CONTACT, I CAN'T BELIEVE WE MET AND LOST YOUKO HIKASA RESENTFUL OL FROM YANDERE YURI COUP D'ETAT THIS EARLY Also holy shit, I heard rumors of Swim Swim, but damn girl, we already got Mitsuzane level 5D backstabbing in 4 eps damn

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject oh hey, that's when Satoko Arai's character shows up...and with a slight robot filter too huh. Also it's a little flat that they up and announce "oh yeah, we're death battles now", but I still like Ruler being pretty Tsundere Villain Onee-sama, even as our main antagonist

110

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Oh yeah, I'm also way prepped for the final Re:Zero ep...this morning, and yeah it's a bit more cathartic for Ram to no diff Gluttony on a Roswaal reveal, tho maybe I'll come back and read it proper...in a couple years But yeah real cute this is how Ram maintains her sister's love + combat end yay

010

AnneOnlySpookyZo - THE SEASON TO RESTART RAISING MAGICAL GIRLS @quistiv.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

#AnolysoRaisingProject Oh right, I know the first scene was literally a massacre en-media-res, but yeah I knew ep 2 I just wasn't feeling OH NO MAGICAL GIRL BATTLE ROYALE WITH REAL GIRL TRAGIC DEATH???? but I did hear a few bits on the image boards so mildly spoiled I guess
