Alive Day 2026 This year, I’m grieving my sweet Lucky dog. I miss him so much. It’s still very painfuI. I know grief has its own timeline, so I just take it hour by hour. But, I am grateful for this Alive Day & to my brain surgeon who gave my life back to me 11 yrs ago.

Yesterday, I lost my sweet boy. My best friend that stuck by me after my brain surgery, that always knew when I was going to have a seizure. My furry baby that sat in my lap while I played Destiny. Always mommy’s boy. I feel so empty without him. My sweet old man. Stepping back to heal.

Never forget how capable you are. Coping with problems won’t mean controlling them all. Perhaps it begins by truly accepting they exist first, & that’s so hard to do. Maybe if those problems are broken down into more manageable parts, control over them feels easier to obtain. I believe in you.

Was able to finish Praxic Path finally. Most of my guardian friends know that I’m partially blind & have seizures. For me, this was so challenging. I did it solo, using videos to guide me through the places I could not see. Guardians helping each other, as usual. 🫂

When you show kindness, usually you expect it in return. But people aren’t always nice. In a challenging world, everyone guards their compassion with hesitancy. Be patient with those that show a disinclination to trust. A smile or gentle word to one person can start a wave of benevolence.

When your heart feels weary from the heaviness in the world, it’s ok to take a step back. Some people will make you feel guilty for disengaging, they will say that you don’t care. But your mental health is a priority. Retreat into the safety of creativity & self-compassion. Protect your peace.
