Stories of Elf World - part 1 of 2

The cover of the short comic Stories of Elf World by Madeline McGrane

The cover depicts the unnamed elf, a tall elf woman with long hair wearing traditional elf garb, bikini, thigh high boots, gauntlets. The Elf is holding a sword pointed towards the ground and is looking pensively at the unnamed human. The human is an average height woman with spiky hair wearing a crop top and pants. She is sitting on the ground and looking up fondly at the elf.

The elf is telling a story while getting ready for the day, donning traditional elf garb (bikini, thigh high boots, gauntlets) and combing her hair.

Elf: Elf World is ending. It has been ending for some time now. Perhaps the end began even before the days of the sorceress. Elf world was once ruled by virtuous queens.

The elf pauses her story to adjust the human's stance. The elf and the human are practicing swords.

The elf resumes her story.

Elf: Now, as you know. Elf world is ruled by the sorceress in the tower.

Elf, narrating off page: Instead of ruling wisely and justly for the glory of elf world, the sorceress constructed dungeons and mazes and machines for war and torment.

The distant figure of the sorceress looks out over elf world from a high window in her sinister tower. She looks upon walls crafted of masonry and twisting thorny vines. Three elf women hang in chains from the walls, representing the torment of all elves under the reign of the sorceress. Below the captive elves, an elf soldier who serves the sorceress rides an armored, 3-toed elf horse.

Elf, narrating off page: At the height of her power, the sorceress attempted to capture the sun and encase her in a terrible machine.

The sorceress and her soldiers wrap the sun, who appears to be a large elf woman, in cables and attempt to pull her down from the sky.

Elf, narrating off page: But the sun escaped. Once gentle, she was driven to hate.

The sun has broken out of the cables and destroyed the sorceress's machinery. She sends a vengeful wave of flame toward the sorceress.

Elf, narrating off page: The wounded sun turned away from elf world.

Elves stand in the darkness, looking towards their distant sun.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers at Stanford University have developed a UNIVERSAL vaccine known as GLA-3M-052-LS+OVA, that protects against a wide range of respiratory viruses, bacteria AND even allergens. The vaccine is delivered intranasally AND provides broad protection in the lungs for several MONTHS.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have developed an HIV vaccine candidate that achieves something never before observed in the field: inducing detectable neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) against HIV within just THREE weeks after a SINGLE immunization which was further INCREASED after an additional booster.
