What's fun about dunking on Scrum is almost every day on LinkedIn a self-described (but possibly "certified") scrum master will display a real lack of mastery of scrum. Scrum is just quite shit anyway, but if you're gonna do it, at least understand it.

They tell me the brightest and best work at Amazon, and it makes disgusting amounts of money because they deserve to. Is this the best they can do?

Software has always been buggy shit, but when you see stuff like this, you cant help but think this is the result of some mandated vibe coding shite (cant wait to use my pens on NYE 2199, when I am the ripe age of 216)

Have to do a presentation about engineering culture in a few weeks. Thought I'd spend a bit of time making some very business-serious slide images

I'm sure there are wiser heads than mine who know why: How come there is no way to go from iter.Seq2 to iterate.Seq built into the standard library for #golang? (or is there and im not finding it?) Do you really have to write something like this?

From the experts on LinkedIn. If you subscribe to this POV, please find a way to change jobs and work with people who know what they're doing I have never worked in a place that would accept this in at least 15 years.

I've lost count of how many times I've seen engineers build a complicated, woolly house of cards for "shared components", "component libraries", etc., all in the name of a standard look and feel, DRY, and it is almost always a total shit-show
Picture of a tweet saying: the funniest microservice i ever had the pleasure to work with was the NavBarService in a suite of 3-5 web apps

you had to make a separate http call to get the contents on the nav bar. when it was down or timed out, you lost the ability to click "Home"
