I really want to play Nivalis Night but im not sure if my system will handle that level of awesome

QuietHydra @quiethydra.com · 27/09/2026

I feel like #Riftbound out of all the TCGs I’ve dipped into has the largest concentration of new to TCGs then most leading games. It might just be me, because I’ve had to talk down players panic over the idea of rotation introduce them to the idea play formats.

What bothers me most about Secret Lair Commander Decks is that you only get a few cards with the unique treatment and then the rest are just cards. In their normal card art. Don't tease me and then bore me in the end. #mtg #tcg

I don’t play Lux in Riftbound or Runeterra, but I might end up keeping this pull because it’s actually legit pretty. #riftbound

Just a reminder people with disabilities and children are the most f'ed over groups in the USA that have no true voice in their protection and representation.

Our future economy is just everyone running scams and trying to remove every penny from working people without providing anything. When gambling or selling your most personal details is a reasonable option, we have a problem.

I would love to start seeing more indie games go into physical media or provide a way to move their games to physical media. There’s just something satisfying about getting a game off the shelf and playing

At my first pre release event for Riftbound. Actually my first time playing in person for any card game. Hopefully I don’t come in a dead last 😁 but I’m sure it will be fun.

QuietHydra @quiethydra.com · 16/07/2026

Starting to get further into #riftbound. Going to my first prerelease event on the 25th. After 30ish years of slinging cards at the kitchen table I’ll actually be playing at a card shop with other fans. Pretty excited

The USA has a gambling addiction problem and it’s only getting worse by the day.

The thing that bothers me about modern TCGs is what happened to the trading?! It's like in the name.

000

QuietHydra @quiethydra.com · 23/06/2026

I wonder what the next step in digital gaming will be. As cost for better systems becomes more out of reach for families and players will we see an offering for a step back to older hardware and a push in software that pushes for better proformance.

000

QuietHydra @quiethydra.com · 23/06/2026

The price of the steam machine is not awesome. But it’s more than that, it’s the loud siren of the things to come to gaming. I do wonder what the race to the ceiling is going to do to the gaming community.

QuietHydra @quiethydra.com · 15/06/2026

Starting to learn how to play #Riftbound. It reminds me of the old Star Wars CCG, just a little bit more relaxed. I’m also pretty happy with the print quality compared to modern MTG cards. Just need to team some family and friends how to play now.

QuietHydra @quiethydra.com · 05/06/2026

Yup, I think I’m done even supporting WotC in the littlest now. I know employees are not calling for a boycott over the union but i personally will be urging people I’m close to to cut ties and move on.

Y’all in CA know it was a primary right? You understand that? Please? It’s not the general election. This was to pick the people who will be on the final ballot. This was not to vote the governor “in”. Yeahh? Are we clear on that.

Gaming hardware is just going up in price and looks to have no end in sight. I wonder if we will be seeing a hard decline in AAA games. Will this be the opening for steaming games instead of owning them and the hardware? It’s not looking to good

000

QuietHydra @quiethydra.com · 21/05/2026

People have my partner and I shit for not sharing images and names of our kids online. Now it’s the same people rushing to delete everything that can on the thing that never forgets.

Since the announcement of our union, Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro have hired Fisher Phillips (a union avoidance firm), and chosen to engage in a daily union-avoidance campaign by sending emails to the Arena team that is spreading misinformation and sowing fear among our colleagues. #uwotc-cwa

Like at this point I feel California should just withhold our taxes until the rest of the country uses our money properly. That or we should be allowed to leave the union.

I feel like Steam should just allow you to block every user and then unblock the people you want to see. Or just don't let people drive everything into a pool of muck.

Three employees had to hold back a X2 robot at a hot pot restaurant today. No one was hurt in the altercation as the bot started to dance for onlookers slamming its robotic fits into bowls of hot food. This is only partially exaggerated btw.

Have been thinking about if I should return as i planed to make videos again, and if I do, how will that look? The worst part was the videos I was most proud of and felt creative and different didn't do well, and the ones that I felt were just well, let's just put this out did well. Just kinda sucks
