I went on a bit of ramble in my screenshot. But, I totally understand where you're coming from, and have been thinking about the same stuff a lot too lately.

'Being so inclusive it creates a new type of exclusion.' I'm sure that's better said elsewhere in the world, but we all have unconscious bias that we need to continually check ourselves on. I think it's lifetime work, and a group effort.

For instance, this has been an ongoing convo in the bookish community for eons, esp YT since 2015(?) When I go to a bookstore I don't just grab whatever catches my, I intentionally seek out author's who are Black, trans, poly, all of the above etc. Intentional Intersectional Inclusivity...is that a thing? We need to adopt that for AE.

Instead of VA's just passively checking their emails or DM's, they should get active and seek out specific people of diverse backgrounds to work with, and writers should be reading scripts from a plethora of different voices, pitching to diverse VA's, and engage with their work, share it, bringing them into rooms that they may not know about or that don't know about them. Content Creators/Podcasters....consume, engage and share diversely, and don't put those podcast episodes behind paywalls or use lack of numbers as to why you don't talk to or about diverse AE creators more.

I'm still actively working on this, always am. I think we can get there, it'll be a slow grind, but as long as we're learning and progressing.

If Vi's pfp/banner are blurred for you, I'm assuming you don't have your mod settings set to show. By default Bsky hides adult content media, you have to enable it, and you have to switch each type on to 'show', unless you want have it warn or hide and "click to show" the media in a post.
