So glad to see Photographica in Arundel is still open and packed with film cameras ready to go. It’s located above the Post Office and is well worth a visit to buy & sell.

I’m heading up to Manchester with My Dog Sighs for a screening of our feature length documentary ‘We Shelter Here Sometimes’ plus a Q&A, hosted by urbanartistry.co.uk at Cult Plex Cinema. Looking forward to some street photography too, any heads up of locations to hit up would me appreciated.

Took some time away from life and got to explore Canvey Wick with my 35mm camera this afternoon. Filmed a bunch, so once the rolls of film are back from the lab will edit together a new video for the YouTube channel. Winter skies, the estuary, old industry and nobody about. My style.

I’ve been so deep in my film negative archive recently I think I started to feel like my best work might be behind me, but a new drop of 7 developed rolls of 35mm has got me stoked. Every day you get to start photography all over again.

Today I took a big step forward towards my photography YouTube channel by breaking down my list of ideas/concepts, fleshing them out & getting organised. Filming starts next week but I’m also going to look back to past projects with interesting subjects or clients where I learnt a load of lessons.

I hear how important cropping is in photography, I just need to really listen better to that good advice. I shared some wide shot night photos recently but the tighter crops I discovered by accident (getting landscapes in to Insta stories) are way more interesting for me. (Crop and the original).

Wrapped up a work photo shoot so I got a quick 10 minutes of night photography of Southampton Port. I’m getting drawn to wider, complex skylines at the moment it seems. Handy keeping the tripod in the car all the time. 📷 Camera: Canon R5
