Myself included, a lot of DC folks are living paycheck to paycheck but doing good work & making a life. Many are losing their apts and landlords are hankering down like it’s 2021. This doesn’t bode well for already overloaded & underfunded social works infrastructure. Hold on I have a joke here…

When you go by aesthetics, you miss the depth of an entire person. There is no one way to “look” and much of the “Ashkenazi Veil” as I like to call it, creates a much ignored divide with Jews of the Diaspora. Especially in 🇺🇸 where proximity to whiteness and assimilation has been pushed for survival.
