Given that most people have CCTV in the form of camera doorbells you would think that royal mail delivery drivers pretending to deliver something when they didn't actually deliver it would be a thing of the past. At least DPD don't do this....

Ok London didn't hit those temps ! I was tempted to book a hotel just to get AC. My kids would sleep downstairs as it was cooler there. Might do that next year as 2027 is meant to be hotter than 2026 due to el ninio patterns

It's a real shame the infosec industry felt like a global team when it was twitter. Now I have been there for years and have lost contact with so many people - whilst I really like blue sky it is absolutely not the same as what Twitter used to be

Very unusual to see a Nobel Prize going to a botanist! Botany is the oldest science & all others grew from It in ways. I realise now that compared to our fellow students doing other biological subjects we had a lot of history to learn. You’d think the announcement would include a link to why he won!

You only need to make sure that food supplies, transport and communications are all knocked out simultaneously and suddenly the populace will generate panic itself. Especially in the first world economy where people just expect that stuff to work

This kind of AI driven cybers swarm attack, where enough of a country's infrastructure gets compromised simultaneously that it all falls over it's probably one of the larger threats in the next five to ten years.

Quentyn @quentyn.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Imagine the scenario where not only have some of the critical bits of infrastructure been compromised but also huge amounts of corporate infrastructure have been compromised only to occupy all of the incident responders.

I was listening to the conti files podcast where they talked about the attack on Costa Rica. This is where I think that ai-based attacks will come into their own. It won't be one particular attack that will be the problem it will be the volume of simultaneous attacks that AI will allow

By the way this is what I looked like yesterday that caused a white van man to stop his van, wind his window down, scream abuse and film me.. Apparently this tutu offended his sensibilities and probably his sense of manliness :) I'm tempted to run around that area wearing it again

I decided to run home from parkrun today about ten kilometres but wearing my orange tutu (I've passed that point in my life where I care). Everything was going well until a white van man stopped at a turning, Scottish phone out and started videoing me while shouting abusively....

And by the way regarding the RAF incident if you cast your mind's back to when there was the alleged drone flying over Gatwick airport - the same people popped up claiming to have privileged information that they were willing to post on their blog and link to from LinkedIn!

Either there's a massive data breach and various people who are not currently intelligence have access to privileged information that they are sharing on LinkedIn - or there are exintel people making suppositions just like all the rest of the people

By the way if you get annoyed thinking this is you.... There are several people I have seen today denigrating people in the comments saying things like "I know things you don't so be quiet" which is kind of amusing...

Quentyn @quentyn.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
I do find it quite amusing that there are exintelligence types on LinkedIn posting about the RAF incident seeming to indicate that they have some kind of insider knowledge. Top tip, if they genuinely did have insider knowledge they probably wouldn't be posting it on LinkedIn.
