Back on the road to Southwest Missouri. Visiting Democrats in historic Carthage in Jasper County, Republic which is in both Green and Christian Counties, and beautiful Monett which straddles Lawrence and Barry Counties. Tomorrow headed to the all the way north to the Iowa border. More tomorrow!

Traveling throughout Missouri you can feel the headwinds building. Farm families and rural voters are hurting under this economy and will be hurt more by Amendment 5. Change is coming and the State Auditor, being the only statewide office on the ballot this year, is a good place to start.

Amendment 5 will give a blank check to the state to increase sales taxes and further threaten vital services. Amendment 4 is a blatant attempt to silence the voices of Missourians by making it nearly impossible for citizen initiatives to pass. They both deserve to go down with a resounding NO vote.

If does not take over five months to verify that the required number of signatures are sufficient to certify the redistricting measure. The Reproductive Freedom Initiative submitted over 380,000 signatures May 3, 2024 and on August 13 it was certified to go on the ballot by then SOS Jaay Ashcroft.

The Governor must not believe his dubious tax hike RIP-OFF has a prayer with Missourians voting in November. So now he's saying he might decide to place it on the August ballot. Most voters have already figured out giving the legislature a BLANK CHECK to raise taxes is a bad idea.
