I heard an interesting theory that worshipping a god is just an extreme form of narcisism. Your god always shares your values, always agrees with you, and is never wrong. So in reality, your god is just you. And you think so highly of yourself that you've elevated your opinion to that of a god's.

Celsius was easy once I gave up trying to do the conversion. As for the metric system, I'm just bad at distances in general so I don't feel a lot of pressure to master it.

I switched to a 24 hour clock easily. Using the metric system and celsius isn't too hard. I even got used to changing the number order of the dates. But I will never adjust to light switches meaning down is on and up is off. #immigrant

I just accidentally had a video appointment with a psychologist, instead of a psychiatrist, and long story short, that's how I discovered my health insurance covers therapy. I have a therapist now.

I like to play Theme Park Tycoon 2 on Roblox and I would always find an NPC guest named Donald and build a little jail to trap him in. But they rolled out an update that makes the NPCs more ethnically diverse and I'm not complaining but Donald is no longer a blond white guy so I just can't do it. 😂

When I moved overseas over 2 years ago, I only brought with me a little 3 octave synth. And though it's been a powerhouse, I'm so excited to finally have 5 whole octaves to play on! I'm a PIANO player again!

A laptop computer and a 5 octave synthesizer with a small mixer and headphones. A small home studio.

I have an irrational (?) fear of being in the shower when an earthquake hits. I didn't have this fear before now, but with earthquakes happening every few hours this is a very real possibility. #terremoto

They've re-raised the alert to level 1 and they have opened an office to help people affected. And I know over 600 people had to be moved because their dwellings are unsafe.

Right?! I'm on the 5th floor and I swear I can feel the ground rumbling underneath. I'm so hyper alert and jumpy. So you've decided to ride out the earthquakes....airborne?

More shaking. Getting super drunk in the face of a natural disaster is probably counter productive. But then again it's usually the drunk driver that survives the crash. Tough call....

And we just had another one. A quick 3.2. Probably going to sleep with my shoes on tonight.

Sometimes a truck of just the right size going by outside will make the floor vibrate just a bit. I never noticed that before but I'm hyper aware of it now.
