y'all posting your 9 albums so easily... couldn't be me. asking me to choose just 9 albums would be like asking me to perform a splenectomy on myself without anesthesia using only a kitchen knife. what do you mean only NINE??? that's unhinged

started NG+ in control resonant and decided my NG+ dylan is gonna have the bleach blonde hair with the dark beard that was all the rage for tumblr faggots in the 2010s

just heard Cleveland by taylor swift against my will and like... all i'm gonna say is do we have the swifties on suicide watch? are they doing alright? their GOAT is out here unironically making songs that sound like something SNL would write to make fun of her, we have to make sure they're okay

finished control resonant (first playthrough, at least. apparently NG+ has reworked bosses and bonus stuff in it which i'm excited to dive into) and there are some issues i have but they are vastly overshadowed by the fact that i just had a rip roaring good time playing it

queersamus @queersamus.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

i think we are genuinely witnessing the conflux of 2 situations: 1. swift is too big to edit at this point, so no one is catching stupid shit that any decent collaborator would question her on 2. i don't think she cares about making music anymore beyond the fact that she has to since it's her job

130

queersamus @queersamus.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

i loved Control conceptually, but the combat mechanics and the way-too-frequent fights with way-too-tanky-and-annoying enemies was by far the worst part of the game, so it feels like Resonant was made for me since they're just doing DMC/bayonetta combat with some elden ring sprinkled in for flavor

remember when all you had to do to be famous on tumblr as a gay guy was take pictures of muscular white men? and the pictures didn't even have to be good! as long as you had a DSLR and a white friend that hit the gym you were set!

170

queersamus @queersamus.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

but like... why is that relevant? especially if you think it's a sexual fetish, as he clearly does here, how is that supposed to negatively impact someone's ability to fly a plane? they're not fucking the plane?? does he think you have to participate in the kinks of the pilot if you're on a plane???

somebody on troye sivan's team needs to sit him down and explain to him that it doesn't matter how cunty your visuals are if the songs aren't good

why was Versailles the release single when there are 11 songs on Day that are better than it? 🤨 what a baffling choice

010

queersamus @queersamus.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

idk if this is controversial or not but i don't think george r r martin should have to care about choosing someone to finish ASOIAF when he dies, and frankly it's weird how often i see it implied that he somehow owes it to his readers. if he wants to, let him. if he doesn't, then accept that

i think it's so important to remember, in any discussion where you find yourself accidentally taking arguments from harry potter fans in good faith, that joanne rowling believes that there is, in fact, an ethical and morally good way to own slaves

The best part of being an artist is that you can just draw whatever dumb idea comes to your head at 1am

A scene parodying the Neon Genesis Evangelion scene of Asuka and her Eva unit getting pierced by the spear of longinus. In this scene, Linguini and Remy from Pixar's Ratatouille take the place of the EVA unit and Asuka respectively. Linguinis eye is pierced by a fork version of the spear and Remy is depicted in an inset where he is grabbing his eye and screaming like the anime. There are anime subtitles at the bottom that say "AHHHHHHHHH!"

just realized samus has officially made a jump towards closing the power gap between her and kirby on the nintendo character power ranking, and the only way she was able to do that was by literally using kirby's power to eat people and steal their abilities

sorry but i'm a korra defender so when i see this show clearly implying that the story of korra ruining the world was a propaganda campaign i am now cautiously seated

the worst thing you can do as an author (or any other type of artist or creator for that matter, but this is specifically about novel writing) is not commit to your premise

i feel like authors should be legally required to disclose when the book they've written is going to become surprise omegaverse with mpreg like 90% of the way through, with truly NO warning. i have had this happen before (the hazards of being a werewolf enjoyer) and it made me so fucking mad

queersamus @queersamus.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

just remembered saying this, and i'm glad the album did validate me. lost boys is the worst song on Lost Weekend by a significant margin, but the bar for her songwriting is so high that it's still not even a bad song, it's actually pretty decent

learning what movie she meant here was a mistake 😭

lyrics to the phoebe bridgers song As Above, they read:
Started watchin' a movie
one where they go back in time
and it got to me
I don't know why

y'all ever hear a song that makes you low-key wish you had a shitty ex you could sing it about but you've never had one so you just gotta make-believe one in your head and get mad at your imaginary ex for the duration of the song

bro... five minutes into the avatar aang movie and the dialogue feels like it was written both by and for middle schoolers, but in an amateur writer way, not in a children's media way. this is borderline intolerable. y'all didn't tell me it was gonna be straight up BAD like this 😭

i can't believe remi wolf wrote a song about me pre-medication

screenshot of lyrics to the Remi Wolf song Twiggy. They read:

Swinging back-and-forth in the parking lot
Skinny little cigarette
Just out of the shower and you're soaking wet"

it's crazy that paizo has a legitimate risk of just collapsing and it's not even their fault, diamond just stole like ten million dollars of product from them and paizo can't do anything about it because diamond is bankrupt and dissolving so who tf would they even sue about it?

new tip for evil people who want to cruelly anxiety-bait someone: whenever someone asks you a question about themselves, look at them really contemplatively for a second and then ask "Do you want me to be kind or do you want me to answer honestly?"

060

queersamus @queersamus.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

it's wild how determined the creators who made korra are to assassinate her character. a whole show about how korra was responsible for what is effectively the apocalypse? after a decade of fans slandering her for no real reason? you thought the best response to that was "ok the haters were right"?

the trouble with phoebe's new song Lost Boys is that in the wider world of modern pop it's great, it's a bop and i've been streaming it for sure, but in the narrower world of phoebe's own catalogue it's like... middling. I don't think it would've made the album if it was written for Punisher
