You ever read a book that sorta just tanks your reading motivation for a while? (Maybe it's the autism 🤣) It wasn't even THAT bad of a book, like a 3.5/5, but still. I'll post about it tomorrow, and hopefully I can hop back in to reading again 🖤

I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!

A poster for the economic blackout on February 28. It is a big red Jack rabbit on an aqua blue back ground. It says economic blackout in hand done black type. There are two black speech bubbles. One says “don’t buy stuff Friday February 28th. The other says we have power. Below it says No Amazon, Walmart, target, gas food, gas. Below that it says OK small business, use cash. Economic Blackouts are powerful forms of nonviolent civil resistance. Take action safely by not spending money tomorrow, Friday, February 28th. Join forces with Americans nationwide to make greedy politicians & wealthy corporations feel the pain they inflict on us. 💪🏻💪🏽💪

was lovely, and I'm happy he gets to have a life now that Rory is safe. I didn't expect to love Rageshi, but so far he's an entertaining character!! My one complaint is still that there's just been too many characters introduced and there's now too many to keep track of- 4/5

I absolutely adored Fenric!!!! He's so adorable, the cutest cat-sidhe I ever did see. He was the absolute perfect match for Cian and the ace representation in this book was lovely, as well. Additionally, seeing more of Cian as he began to live instead of just survive, and how cute he is with kids3/5

TW gore, violence, death, mentions of grief and loss of a loved one. I still just love the magic in this world and the way everything works together. The lore feels rich, complex, and most of all it feels complete. I'm not left thinking "wait where did that come from" or "wtf", it all feels real.2/5

"The Edge of Fate" by Sheena Jolie. I was so excited to finally get my hands on this book, as I finished the other books in the series earlier this month and was just waiting for this one to come out!! 4.5/5 for this murder husband adventure story. 1/5

Cover of the book The Edge of Fate by Sheena Jolie. Featuring the MC Cian, a fae with long, dark green hair and lightly tanned skin, pointed ears, and blue eyes. He's looking at the viewer with knives in each hand and arms crossed in front of his body, wielding a light green magic. Behind him the world is bathed in light blue, and a black cat sits, watching him.

I just wanted a LOT more ghosts and for Ryan to interact with them more, and for Cal's ghosts to come up more often. All in all a good book, but not one I'll pick up again. 5/5 #booktok #booksky #fantasy #reader #ghosts #queeromantasyreads #queerreader #gaybooks #queerbooks

Now what I didn't like. I wanted there to be a LOT more ghostly activity. It felt almost like an afterthought. Like. We went dozens of chapters at a time with ghosts barely mentioned then suddenly at the end BOOM we are gonna resolve ALL the ghost business OH AND NOW THERE'S DEMONS TOO?? 4/5

First for the parts I did like about this book. I loved the characters. Ryan's mom healed something in me lol, and I loved Naomi and Vox. I enjoyed Ryan and Cal as MCs, and just really felt for them and all the pain and suffering they endured. It was really awful. 3/5

Hawk was always dedicated to Sylvan, so I enjoyed seeing Sylvan's growth throughout the book, from wanting power to just wanting happiness with Hawk.5/5 #booktok #booksky #fantasy #reader #queeromantasyreads #queerreader #gaybooks #queerbooks

Loved the whole elven realm and the Nocturne Court, it was very cool and I loved the whole lore and how it was complex but easy to understand. I enjoyed all the different creatures and monsters and beasties. 4/5

I thought that Hawk going along with Sylvan, thinking that he was just using the whole "being an elf" thing to cope with a shitty life was actually kinda sweet and adorable. It also made it even funnier when he found out no, Sylvan was ACTUALLY an elf. 3/5

First of all, Sylvan was adorable and I loved him. Also his frustration with the human realm and exclamation of, "I can't be expected to know everything!!" over knowledge that we take for granted felt so relatable on an autistic level lol 2/5

"The Shadow Prince's Ruin" by K.A. Merikan. 5/5 stars, I super enjoyed this spicy fantasy adventure!! TW interactions with law enforcement, talk of mental health, death of family members, violence, brief homophobia directed at MCs. 1/5

Cover of the book The Shadow Prince's Ruin by K.A. Merikan. Featuring the MCs Hawk and Sylvan, with a frame of thorny vines, a large full moon behind them, and a castle in the distance. Hawk is a human and has long, dark hair, a short beard, a muscled body, and lots of tribal-inspired tattoos. Sylvan is an elf and has blond hair, pointed ears, a crown, and wears a fantasy outfit in black and gold.

It always makes me roll my eyes when I see stuff like that. What "lies"? We can /see/ much of what he is doing. We have proof. Whether by people it's directly affecting or we can see the results. Certainly there's more behind the scenes but there's PLENTY to know exactly who and what he is. 🙄
