Built in 1936 to commemorate King George V’s Silver Jubilee, the Quiet Garden's Lych Gate once served as the park’s main entrance.
Traditionally, lych gates marked a threshold between everyday life and sacred grounds, such as churchyards. Here, it marks the entrance to our favourite green space🍃
