While exploring Toronto, we visited A&C Games (acgamesonline.com). Picked up this gem! #RandomGameSaturday

CAR-PG is a solid genre! Choro Q, 2005, Atlus & Takara Adorable cars doing adorable quests to level up their adorable car parts. It's a shame that it wasn't a hit. We have a Honda Fit and it needed something to make it stand out. Last year, it was Ohio's Choro Q. No one got it. #RandomGameSaturday

No Mountain Dew. Only Crab Grab. Crab Grab, 1983, Nintendo SuperColor Game & Watch This little guy is in rough shape and was sold cheaply as junk. Totally worth it. The gameplay is super simple but addictive. Push crab up, no get pinched. Game & Watch are top tier LCD games. 🦀/10 #RandomGameSaturday

An oddly tall Game & Watch! The casing is chromed (and showing lots of wear).
The screen is a long rectangle, taller than wide. The top has the time at the left corner. There are 4 color bands on the playfield, each containing a stack of grumpy looking crabs, from left to right, purple, green, red, and blue. There is a little dude that's just a ball with eyes, a troubled little mouth, and arms and legs. They have to push them crabbos without getting pinched.
The direction buttons are below the screen, in brick red, with a LEFT RIGHT toggle on the left, and an UP DOWN on the right. At the bottom there are 3 tiny rubber (chewed to hell) buttons for GAME A, GAME B, and TIME with a tiny pinhole ALARM.

Surprise saved game! Capcom vs SNK Card Fighters Clash 2, Neo Geo Pocket Color. I spotted a bag of unknown bits and bobs at #ArcadeLegacy in Cincy. It looked like the cart was for NGPC. We picked it up untested. Card Fighters Clash 2 has a playable early translation with save! #RandomGameSaturday

Street Fighter! The Movie! The Game! Capcom, 1995, Saturn I saw the movie in the theaters in 1995. It sucked back then. I've been watching it while cleaning today. It still sucks now. Value! Super Mario 4 + Side Egg + Hugo! Bomber 199 in 1 for Game Boy For some reason, I was super excited about finding this at a local store. I love these damn things. It's mostly early Japanese GB titles, but it has Hugo, which was PAL only! 19 games that repeat 👎. Side Egg 👍. #RandomGameSaturday

Ahoy hoy? Ducks Ahoy, 1984, CBS Software for C64. My Grandpa used a C64 for his landscaping job in the early '80s. We played Ducks Ahoy together. This game is darling. Direct ducks to boats and ferry them to shore, or the Hippo will bloop them. The book is silly and fun. 🦆/10 #RandomGameSaturday

20 years of perfection. Tetris DS, 2006, Nintendo DS I feel like this one is one of the finest games of the era. 6 different game modes, with creative theming that delves into Nintendo's past. Single and local or Wifi multiplayer with up to 10 players. My fav is Touch Mode. <3 #RandomGameSaturday

This is Rupert Giles. It was a coincidence that he was named after my favorite Buffy character, because he chose me. I used to be in a fan group for Giles called the Tweedy’s. Anthony Stewart Head was a great actor, singer, and an overall good dude. His memory will be a blessing.

Maybe I'm a Beshemoth Slime... Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2, 2011, Square-Enix, DS. My lame claim to fame is that not too long after this game came out, I was ranked 86th in the world. And yes, I was stomping my foes with a friggin castle. DQM is one of my favourite series. #RandomGameSaturday

So many Poogies! Monster Hunter Stories, 2016, Capcom for 3DS. I'm not much into hunting, but give me a turn-based monster tamer, and I will catch 'em all! It is Pokémon + Fire Emblem with its own seasoning. The art style in the first 2 was adorable, though 3 looks more grown up. #RandomGameSaturday

I have a digital camera. Game Boy Camera, 1998, Nintendo for the Game Boy. The limitations of the 128x128 greyscale camera make it tougher to capture a great image than a point and shoot. But look at that quality Rupert! There are loads of mini games, fun and pure Nintendo charm. #RandomGameSaturday

Before EA ruined everything. Sim City, 1991, Nintendo+Maxis, SNES Nintendo took Maxis' solid formula and added their distinct flavor. The soundtrack is mellow and lovely. This was the first version of Sim City I'd ever played, and I think it is still my favorite. Bowser Attack! #RandomGameSaturday

Feeling moony. Lunar Lander, 1990, Pack-In-Video for GameBoy. This was released 4 years after the Challenger disaster, so the still vivid flashbacks of my entire generation are probably why it never left Japan. It plays like Atari's Lunar Lander once you get off Earth. Decent. #RandomGameSaturday

Yes, I am showing off this week, which makes it a less #RandomGameSaturday Chocobo no Fushigi Dungeon, 1997, Square on WonderSwan This little guy sat at Arcade Legacy for years. We traded a stack of $$ PS2 RPGs and brought it home. I will not be modding this, as it is perfect. I love Chocobo!

Opa Opa Go Round! Galactic Protector, 1988, Sega for Mark III/Master System. I adore Fantasy Zone and this off shoot is a blast. (I know what I did there.) The graphics are Cute Em Up excellence, it makes good use of the FM sound unit, and the paddle controls are smooth joy. <3 #RandomGameSaturday

The paddle controller is a cream white, and rectangular being wider than tall. On the left side, there is a round knob for the spinner, which does not completely rotate (like an Atari paddle). On the right, there is an inset button at the top, with a large round black button on the controllers face. The black cord comes out on the right side. There is a light grey sticker around the paddle and face button. It says PADDLE CONTROL in black italic font above the button and SEGA in blue below and to the left of the button. Pure joy.

Doctor Who the Figure collection cover for Part 82, a Vervoid. I guess they were going for a plant monster using various meat eating plants but yeah, no, it’s a very fleshy pink head with a mouth opening with thin pink tendrils. It has a neck collar like leaves but no, it’s a cooter headed beast.

You got SNK in my Capcom! CardFighters' Clash Capcom Version, 1999, Neo Geo Pocket Color. This game is a joy. It has simple to pick up mechanics, decent challenge, and incredible sprite art. Yes, that is almost 65hrs of playtime. Worth a play if you like Capcom, SNK, or fun. #RandomGameSaturday

Toro Inoue brings me joy. Chocobo World, 1999, Square for Sony PocketStation I used to play the Windows version of Chocobo World in the background for years. I finally was able to find a PocketStation and let my little Choco buddy grind for hours. The PocketStation is really fun. #RandomGameSaturday

In his legs, there is a Crystal Sony PocketStation. The PocketStation has clear casing, is like a Sony PlayStation One memory card with a small 0.9in (2.286cm) x 0.9in screen, and white buttons. The display has Chocobo World and a little black silhouette of a Chocobo and two feathers.

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. Uninvited, Kemco/ICOM, 1990, NES + Atari ST I am not one for horror, but I love the ICOM trilogy for the NES. The soundtracks add to the ambiance. However, the computer releases silence captured the creepy vibe better. #RandomGameSaturday

Nostalgia in color! Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening DX for GBC, 1998, Nintendo Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda title.
