#ShowMeYourKnits this is my Most Repeated knit: the Nice & Knit Beanie. I have knit around 250 of them. I made 100 hats for Denver's homeless as a karmic balancing act but then couldn't stop and had to start shipping them farther afield. 😂 I can make one in under 3 hours without looking. 🧶

The toe cap of a newly born sock is shown. It's sort of pinky, purpley, and a little bit of LLR green. It's on a very short circular needle. I cast on a toe up sock with my dpns, then once I hit 64 stitches, moved onto the new tiny circular. 2 rows later I thought- maybe I have it backwards? Tiny needle in the wrong hand? So I swapped it around. 2 more rows later I accepted I just HATE shorty needles. Double pointed needles are my happy place. Shrug!

This week I've spent my evenings mending. AFTER taking in 4 pairs of pants, fixing tiny holes in 3+ shirts, & sewing new squeakers into dog toys, today I finally found my seam ripper & thimble! I am delighted to see them & only slightly bitter about that waistband I picked out with embroidery ✂️ 🥲🪡🧵

Handmade socks I knit inside out to achieve reverse stockinette on the sole and ribbing on top. I think this was pattons wool, toe up, looks like a heel flap.

This was the leftovers of a fabulous Quaere fiber skein, with stash heels, toes, and cuff. Toe up. Short row heel.

This was leftovers of... something... knit with beige heels, toes, and cuffs to use it up.

Okay, I'll quit after this but MOAR SOCKS! 🤣 I have been knitting socks for a decade and they're my absolute fave, so I could do this all day. #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶🧦

This yarn was from Hobbii and it was thinner than I expected- a quite skinny Fingering but very nice to work with. No pattern. Toe, top of foot and leg ribbed. Probably short row heel.

Three pairs of socks. No idea why I had them all lined up... maybe I'd waited and grafted all the toes in one hideous day? I hate grafting.

I LOVED this yarn and I can't remember where it came from. These are one of my most worn pairs.

These are shorty socks worked in the precious leftovers of a very cool Quaere (sp?) fiber with a random purple from stash for toes, heels, and cuffs. These were toe up short row heel.

This is a Quiet Stars cardi knit for a friend (i hated this the whole way thru but it turned out gorgeous- can't find a finished pic.) 2 Lyrical Knits MKALs which I adore- I want to make a 2nd Muppet Shawl for myself. And finally a beginning: started her new MKAL yesterday! 🧶

It's my probably my favorite thing I have ever made- I worked on it while we did home hospice for my mom and it saved my sanity. This pic was taken the morning I finished it- it's not blocked and I'm still in my pajamas. I was so excited. This was 9 days before my mom died.

This is Lyrical Knits' The Muppet Shawl MKAL. I started this not long after I finished the Monty Python one and gifted it to my mother in law. I made this in purple with just 2 accent colors- pale pink and silver gray. It was so much fun and I want to make another one for myself in the rainbow color scheme. Someday! 🌈

#Fiberuary day 7 is self care & mine is the 3 day trip to Iceland we just took to celebrate our 26th 💕. We survived a brutal couple of years including deaths, serious illness, moving, a layoff... but this was worth the wait and every single krona we undoubtedly should've saved instead. ZERO regrets.
