The new Halifax Forum Complex will be a NEW BUILDING, it will be fully accessible and barrier- free so all ages and abilities can participate in activities such as walking or wheeling around the indoor walking track year-round. It will have accessible outdoor green spaces for programming/recreation.

The Forum is a 100 years old municipal facility that is deteriorating. We need two to new rinks and event space. The project is FULLY underway, it started July 2023. The project is now a brand new facility - 2 NHL size rinks and a 14,500 square foot multipurpose centre for programming and events.

The redevelopment is not a renovation, it is a tear down and a brand new signature landmark built in the “Spirit of the Forum”. The Forum is in disrepair, it is 99 years old. The Forum is much more than two rinks. It is an event space that is busy year round. This has been community land since 1890.

The Halifax Forum Redevelopment was approved by 5 HRM Councils; it is already fully in motion. It is a full tear down and a new building. The plan is for doors to open in 2030. Raise your voice. Let’s make sure the Forum remains a priority. Your voice matters. Use it before March 5.
