John Steinbeck wrote East of Eden which is currently on Netflex. I found this movie rather deep in many ways but it was very good and typical of John Steinbeck.

A good WWII miniseries called The Pacific is a good watch about America fighting the Japanese after Pearl Harbor. I only knew one man who fought in the Pacific and the stories were breathtaking. Miniseries connected to the Band of Brothers series. It makes me proud of our soldiers past and present.

I remember the assassination of JFK. I was in 8th grade. We were sent home from school that day. An odd feeling came over me. I felt that same feeling on 9/11 as well. With sadness I say that it is a shame that the Kennedy Center is a vanity issue. You can tear it down but never erase his memory.

Be sure you stock up on your most used items if you can. Paper products may be one you consider. We get some of the material that makes toilet paper from Canada. Truckers are talking strike early October. Gas prices are hurting these truckers . Not suggesting hoarding but preparation.
