Shows Watched in 2026 #1 The Sarah Jane Adventures Finished watching this with my bestie Lucas a few days ago. It's a late 2000's children's spin-off of Doctor Who, but still has the same high quality of writing and acting. Doesn't pull punches either, some episodes really made me emotional.

Promotional art of Sarah Jane Adventures. Sarah Jane is pointing her sonic device at the camera, with two tweens, a girl and a boy, standing next to her.

Games Beaten in 2026 #1 Toree's Panic Pack I love Toree 3D and Toree 2, but this collection of smaller works just isn't great. This was the first time I didn't go for S Ranks in this series because they were either too strict, too technically demanding, or both. Hopefully I like Toree Saturn more!

Before I start my games/media thread of 2026, here's a (light hearted) tierlist of everything I played in 2025! Honestly it was a good year for me with games, there's only one I had massive qualms with.

Games Beaten in 2025 #20 Pokémon Legends: Z-A This was my first time playing a new pokemon game in six years, and I think I chose a good one to come back to the series with. I thought the battle system was fun and the story and characters were very charming. The OST also kicks so much ass.

Games Beaten in 2025 #19 Kirby Air Riders I absolutely adore this game. It's both an extensive love letter to the entire Kirby series while also being an extremely fun racing game. In every facet you can feel this was a project created through sheer passion.

#18 Hades I'm addicted to this game. The gameplay loop is extremely satisfying, the characters are charming, and I love how the story uses the roguelite structure to create a story that would be hard to achieve in another medium. Just a genuinely fantastic game.

#17 Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds I got a gold trophy on every cup at every speed, so I'd say that def counts as beating it. Super fun game! Feels good to control and the tracks are well designed. Only complaints are unlocking stuff is grindy, and I wish the jukebox let you assign songs per course.

Games Beaten in 2025 #16 Shadow Generations Holy shit. People weren't lying when they talked about how good this is. Some of the best feeling 3d sonic movement, really fun levels, and a strong, emotional story. If this is what the future of this series looks like, it looks extremely bright.

Games Beaten in 2025 #15 Sonic Generations I finally played this game all the way through, and I see why it's so beloved!! The levels are extremely fun and the movement is pretty good. This really shows the potential of boost gameplay. Also the challenges are pretty fun and the music is great.

Games Beaten in 2025 #14 Dokapon! Sword of Fury Take Dokapon Kingdom and make it more bullshit. To the point that basically 50 hours of gameplay meant nothing for deciding the winner. I really like the art style, character designs, and music, but I can't recommend it in good faith.

Games Beaten in 2025 #13 Sonic Riders The best way I can describe this game is snowboarding x f-zero. It has a learning curve but once it clicks it's extremely fun. Also I'm now officially a big fan of the babylon rogues.

Games Beaten in 2025 #12 Star-Crossed World I really liked this new batch of levels! They're a lot more intricate and packed with varying obstacles. Definitely think the next mainline Kirby will feel similar to these in terms of design. Also the remixes and new songs is insanely good.
