At our Symposium this month, Prof. Andrew Madrigal — whose father was wrongfully convicted and exonerated in California — spoke about the impact of wrongful conviction on the family members of exonerees. Many exonerees desperately want, but never get, an apology from officials, he said.

Richard Glossip was freed on bond Thursday in Oklahoma while he awaits a new trial. Glossip, who has always maintained his innocence of the 1997 murder for which he was convicted and sentenced to death, has faced multiple execution dates and has eaten three "last meals."
