Two-thirds of the U.S. population lives in the “border enforcement zone”

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which includes the Border Patrol, is the largest law enforcement agency in the country. Their jurisdiction they claim spans 100 miles into the interior of the United States from any land or maritime border.

Two-thirds of the U.S. population lives within this 100-mile border enforcement zone, including cities like Washington D.C., San Francisco CA, Chicago IL, New Orleans LA, Boston MA, & more.

Military Officer says: “Soldier, arrest those civilians.”
Soldier replies: “Sir, taking up arms against American citizens in this situation would be unconstitutional.
With respect, I must refuse.”

American service members are obliged to refuse orders they believe unlawful. Articles 90 and 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice require service members to obey only lawful orders. To compel obedience, it must have a valid military purpose, be clear and specific, and not conflict with statutory or constitutional rights. The Manual for Courts-Martial states that an order can be presumed unlawful if it is patently illegal, such as directing unconstitutional acts against American citizens.

IF GIVEN AN ILLEGAL ORDER:
• It's essential to consult with an experienced Military Defense Attorney immediately.
• Keep a record of the order, including who issued it, when it was given, and any specific instructions.
• Refuse the order clearly and assertively, but respectfully. Try to communicate your concerns about the order to your immediate superior and use the chain of command.
