iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I know it's not an easy situation and the grief is immense, but I hope you and your sibling are both able to find some peace eventually <3

I understand, sometimes I feel like a fool for believing people can be better and getting constantly proven wrong. You go through so many things in your head that maybe you could say or do to get them to be more compassionate and it's all futile.

love it when I go to sleep with a little headache hoping some sleep will sort it out and wake up and it's 10x worse

we make tofu p often and I love it!! I press it and make a simple marinade that's just soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and maybe some vegetable oil and let them soak in it for as long as possible (up to 2 days) before popping them in the air fryer at 375 for 20ish minutes, flipping partway through

Hello, since Redbubble did me dirty (suspension without explanation while owing me money) let's experiment a little bit! If I've known you long enough not to abuse my work and you want a print/sticker/whatever from me, pay me what you want, I'll give you high resolution files. Try me! #Art #SciArt

the worst part is I don't even know WHY my anxiety is pinging like crazy, I think I'm working myself into a lather because I feel like I'm unqualified even though I've been doing this stuff as a whole-ass professional for so long

030

sometimes being an adult means doing stuff that makes you so anxious you wanna hurl but just gotta push on through 👍 yippee ugh the thing is done but the lingering anxiety. Bad

I've only read The Only Good Indians and The Buffalo Hunter Hunter so far, both were fantastic imo but I was GRIPPED by former. Really incredible horror, there were scenes where I realized I was holding my breath haha. I have My Heart is a Chainsaw on hold on Libby rn!

yeah there was a whole lot of using indigenous cultures as just a 'magical' plot point :^) and I don't remember all the details but there's a section where the protag goes on a magic carpet (broom) ride around the world and basically says all the spirits are from the same source, so

000

god and the ending was SO DUMB I was fully expecting there to be a sort of role reversal where the witchhunting fervor made all the townspeople turn on each other somehow but no she just basically. proved all of their assumptions right by going on a bloodlust rampage. ok LMAO

000

Stephen Graham Jones, on the other hand, has some of the most impressive writing I've ever read 👌

also the phrases 'sucked in a breath' and 'bulging eyes' showed up like 30 times I s2g. terrible prose

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this book was shitty :^) Even without the bad representation (!!) the characters were flat as hell, dialogue was bad, overall messaging was awful. I literally made a goodreads account to leave a poor review lfmdkgsf what do you MEAN it has over 4 stars

Sometimes I feel like the worst pet parent for missing a Maple feeding here and there and then I look at her and she's so egg shaped. I think she'll be ok

Very round crested gecko (Maple) sleeping with her head tucked into the very top corner of her tank, the rest of her is sticking out conspicuously

Still have my copy with the little original drawing of Archen you included 💚

your realistic work is incredibly impressive (and important for sci illo) but I broke from a more realistic style way back and was SO much happier with my working process afterwards haha

Cornell University treating Gaza protestors more harshly than gang rapists is a real statement of values. It’s almost like violent domination by the powerful is the core belief of leadership.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

Np!! The first day was *awful* but I haven't had to deal with periods and/or pregnancy for the past 5 years so I think it was a decent trade off all things considered haha

Lina @quailnoises.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I was extremely crampy (bad enough I almost couldn't drive myself home, idk why the hell they don't tell you to have someone take you home after that procedure holy shit) but it was over within a day. I would call your OBGYN about it for sure.
