iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

TESOctober • prompt: moon twin moons; twin souls; tamiit #TESOctober #ESO #quaggart

digital drawing. old khajiit man zerith-var stands beside my dunmer vestige against a night sky spattered with stars. behind them are the two full moons, painted in metallics--one small and silver, the other large and red. masser in red is the only colour other than the beige of the canvas. the drawing has a mix of dry pencil texture and wet oils and has a deckled edge.

not finished my reread yet but the pellinor series has been good, if more grim.. it speaks well to grief, not just personal but the collective grief of living in these dark times that oft feel so hopeless

"It is not given to us to know what difference we can make, and perhaps we can make no difference at all. But that is no reason not to make
the attempt," said Saliman quietly.
"The Light shines more brightly in the darkness."

TESOctober • prompt: grave “In this consecrated hall lies Zerith-var Raised by nomads, Bane of shadows Savior of lost souls” #TESOctober #ESO #quaggart

digital drawing in black, cream, and metallic gold. the canvas is a very rough and worn cream stone texture. it depicts a stone recess with a shrine inside. there’s a plinth with a tablet framed in gold, with a banner with a golden paw and claws embroidered. beside it are several lit candles. in front, a cushion. behind is a circular banner depicting a golden sun or star, with decorative embroidery spiralling around it. a banner hangs at the top and drapes down over the recess. textures vary from rough and dry, to wet, to oil. a black border frames the image and spatters out around the insides. signed at the bottom are four overlapping circles and two straight lines representing b d p q.

12 embarrassingly long years not realising that khajiit in ESO do, in fact, have paw pads—or at least some bare skin on their hands/feet. took replaying ZV’s recruitment quest to see this omg. confidently told my wife the opposite the other day, oops

elder scrolls online screenshot. we are looking from shoulders down upon zerith-var, white tiger type khajiit fellow, who is dressed in rags and kneeling in prayer. his hands are resting on his thighs in the jñāna mudrā, palms up with thumbs and index fingertips touching. notably, there is black skin instead of white fur on the inside of his fingers, extending slightly down onto the palm. this is also present on his toes and part of the soles of his feet.

#TESOctober • prompt: treasure what would my main vestige treasure most, of all his personal possessions? very likely the lure sharp-as-night made for him. #quaggart

a digital drawing in black and cream. it’s a wooden fishing lure in the shape of a minnow. there’s a dark feather and a weight or bobber attached as well, with a hook at the bottom. it is bordered by black oil and spattered around the object. my initials, b d p q, are overlapping at the bottom corner of the image.

me, fat white gay, on my red recumbent trike. it has two wheels in the front and one in the back and handlebars at the side of the seat. i’ve got a black skate style helmet, black n95, black shirt, dark grey cargo pants, mismatched striped black, blue, and pink compression socks, and black sneakers on. i’m making a peace sign. dappled light from the shadow of the tree is on me but im still squinting lol. i’m able to recline nicely on the trike though my legs should be a little more stretched out i think.

from the newsletter the gods and their croziers.. this shit makes my head hurt but it’s also so interesting. and informs my understanding and appreciation of TES lore 😂

There is another possibility: Jean Haudry's "Three Sky Model". In his model, there are three Skies in the Proto-Indo-European cosmology, and three Sky-gods: Those of Night, Day, and Dawn-Dusk. The Sky-god of Dawn-Dusk, the Liminal Sky, is the mediator of Day and Night, and perhaps of the Heavens and Earth, Life and Afterlife, and the entry and exit of the Celestial bodies from the other skies.
