Last year Tyson Foods made over $400 million. It paid its CEO, Donnie King, over $34 million. Without notice, Tyson has cruelly abandoned its workers. Its closure of the Joslin plant has led to 2.5k union workers being cast out. Workers deserve more, workers deserve a federal jobs guarantee.

On January 5th, Jakarta Jackson was killed by Rock Island PD Ofc. Brett Taylor when he was pulled over, while his daughter was in his car. Since then the State’s Attorney didn’t press charges and the RIPD has Ofc. Taylor back on the streets. No more killing of Black lives: fire Brett Taylor.

By asking for donations and using our member dues, we were able to get enough supplies for dozens of people today. Not only is there no reason for the city of Davenport to do the same, but we did it on a shoestring budget.
