iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

the minute I saw they'd dragged kiryu back for 8 I knew it was over for real 😭 it's just so sad. 7 was incredible and the ichigang had so much potential, but they chickened out and it's all for nothing now. #JUSTICEFORICHIBAN

I have no idea, everything since ishin seems to have this awful viral marketing clout chasing kind of angle all over it and it fucking sucks. it's like they're trying to push to be bigger in eng speaking markets but going about it in such a gross way

100

AND YET!!! they've pissed away the goodwill of so many long term fans, it's insane

it's sad to see. I was hoping this game could be a turning point for them and I guess it was in the worst way possible 😭

010

yeah since nagoshi left it's been a race to the bottom. at first it was stuff people could brush off but this shit is just beyond the pale to me

020

the desperation of their "collabs" with random influencers/celebrities has reached a morbid new low like wow. now you're doing it with people who aren't even alive for clicks & attention. fuck you all actually

140

no but for real. they're done, they're dead to me now

330

yes... and the cherry on top is there's a whole thing with his family trying to get back control of his estate via a legal battle so that makes it extra shitty imo

100% same with the dread. on top of the health stuff my friend is coming from the states so I'm gonna feel fucking terrible if I can't do much 😭

I've gone from extreme hype to feeling like I'm on death row. not to be dramatic or anything

I am now low key dreading con because of a) the weather forecast and b) the fact I'm having some sort of dysautonomia flare up rn (praying that will go away beforehand tho)

lmao I also ordered something similar yesterday 😭 #saveus

my doctor suggested I try PT. I shook my head sagely; it's a shame that medical professionals don't know that game is essentially lost media and can only be recreated via piracy

it rly annoys me, ppl who see fandom as consumerist vs collaborative

1368

they've broken into Beale's chippy and robbed the place blind 😭😭 (I'm sorry it's Like This, it's been driving me insane lately so I can only image what it's like as a writer)

they're getting absolutely shafted by having their work fed into A/I, people posting A/I fics on ao3 etc and yet other fans can't even be arsed to hype up or share their work. what the hell is wrong with people. writers are the backbone of fandoms. cherish them or soon enough they'll leave

1103

it's gotten so bad that recently I've seen people vagueposting about fics and not sharing the link, or taking inspo for art from fics and not crediting the writer. no one would tolerate this kind of behaviour in relation to visual artists, so why are writers being treated like this?
