I need to yap about Infinity Train again. ...once I finish rewatching all four seasons.

We are not even one MONTH into 2026 and already there's an amazing game that has released. With a beautiful art style, incredible movement in its gameplay, and an engaging story, MIO: Memories In Orbit is firmly up there as a great Metroidvania.

Posted a new chapter of the fanfic. If anyone's curious, it's a Need For Speed fanfic focusing on the 00's era of games providing a bit more of an interconnected story from Underground to Carbon, though they're mostly focused on just snippets of the protagonist's life.

Okay now I'm a bit mad I put out a chapter of a new story in FF./net Ten minutes later I get a notif that a user followed/favorited it I do a quick check and see that SOMEHOW the chapter does not have a view counted in. SO HOW ARE THESE BOT ACCOUNTS ABLE TO DO THAT?!

Got a new display case and now all my mini lego-likes are now encased

I just posted a chapter and the bots issue still persists. Good that those accounts got instabonked but man.

2025 was an incredible year for gaming releases. I only hope 2026 can be at least half as good. And also that the industry becomes better.

I haven't posted it here but I finished writing a Frozen fanfic and published the final chapter at ao3 a few months ago. It would be really nice if anyone on here reads it and leaves feedback. Thanks in advance and I hope you guys enjoy! archiveofourown.org/works/69551691

I went from trying to complete a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle at the start of the year to finishing a bunch of lego-likes and a pair of replicas to end the year. Maybe I'll get back to that puzzle someday...if/when I have the space for it.

More than 6 years since its initial announcement as DLC, more than 8 since its predecessor's release, Hollow Knight: Silksong had been anticipated for so long that its wait had reached memetic status. But upon its release on September 4th, Team Cherry proved that it was all worth it.

It's a bit funny for me that my last post here was reviewing Expedition 33 and making the call that it will win Game of the Year (congrats to them btw!), dipped for the rest of the year and then head back because another terrible Twitter feature was rolled out. Anyways, Silksong review soon.

Pack it up. Call this Game of the Year for 2025. Or at the very least, the bar has been set so fucking high already that it'll take a monumental effort for any game coming out this year to top it. By far one of the greatest debut releases for a video game developer. Let's dive in.

A few things: 1. I don't play a lot of turn-based RPGs. At least not to the point that I am a diehard fan. 2. I am nowhere close to finishing the game. With that out of the way... Expedition 33 is a love letter to turn-based RPGs. I feel so much passion and care into their efforts.

I love almost everything about South of Midnight. From its story in a setting that's uncommon in its medium, to its artstyle and animation, to the beautiful sounds and music, to the exploration the game provides, it's all a wonderful experience to behold. That being said...

Replaying Okami for the third platform and I am just reminded of how beautiful its soundtrack is.

Qu1ntus @qu1ntus.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

This game was a miracle in and of itself: sixteen years since the first game's release, and it's yet another home run from the people at Double Fine. A lot of improvements were made from the first, providing a better platformer, but the story and writing remained top-notch as ever.

An incredibly near-perfect mix of everything a game has to offer (save for the final level, which I got through without much trouble, but still a little annoying). One of the best platformers ever, and one of the greatest games ever. Playing the sequel next!

While I was desperately trying to get a 9 Conqueror game, I had a thought experiment that turned into an unbelievable win: 6 Automata-4 Quickstriker with TF/Nocturne as the main carries. The one round I lost was the Vander+Silco round. I barely won the final round with Blitz left, but it was fun!

I've had my thoughts sorted out about the entire series. Still, while Season 1 was the better of the two, it doesn't change how fantastic Season 2 was while also acknowledging the massive ramifications of Arcane's effect on League's lore as a whole. On its own, Arcane was perfect.
