And each of these are contained layers within “reality”; the Shadowlands… might also be a layer, but it is the mansion of dying. All of it is surrounding the Maelstrom, the source of the planetary sundering

The Dragon Isles is a layer of the primordial Kul’Tiras is the curse of the storm in the tides of darkness (Thros/Mechagon/Naz’jatar) Zandalar contains the gods of death, blood, and kings And the Broken Isles is the seat of the Pillars of Creation

The Throne of the Elements is probably the most direct layer of this; we know Thrall was able to connect with the elements in Draenor, and we see him utilize a power of divine wrath against Garrosh— a power level we only ever saw him use in Azeroth when using the Dragon Soul.

Between the Aether Rays, the power creep of Netherstorm, the Sethekk cult’s descent into void power, and the Gorian power creep into the apexis crystals, there is something about the aetherial nature of the world that seems to play a role of manifesting creatures of in service to the cosmic forces

I like to think of each WoW expansion has being another mansion of reality twisting itself Northrend is the ice Crown Pandaria is the Golden Empire Draenor is the home world on the other side of the portal And Outlands… I think Outlands is a divine shattering of the former home world.

It used to be that people would interpret those 4 were just spitballs made by voidlords and that there were tons all over the place, like that one the Arakkoa were summoning in Draenor Now it implies they are the enslavers of countless worlds? Interesting shift in perspective

Some new N’Zoth and Y’Shaarj lore getting cooked up in Heartstone! N’Zoth apparently corrupted the forests (probably hence the whispers), and Y’Shaarj was behind Soggoth the Slitherer; Kronn, the sole surviving stone giant who fought off Soggoth, was killed by Y’Shaarj in a plot where he used

Okay this definitely can't be a coincidence. This is Aegwynn's brooch in the comics, and that, combined with her staff being called Aluneth, and her only presence in-game being in the Temple of Elune/Tomb of Sargaeras: Like, how incorporated into Elune is Aegwynn?

and a unique PvP-style event or just a general gladiator PvE questline where you get all the extra lore from the comic-- Reghar Earthfury, Lo'Gosh, Mistess Relka Grimtotem, etc. With the new Alcaz Island dungeon I'm hoping maybe we can get hints of new stuff gradually

Hope the devs are beginning to realize that the last twenty years of encouraging Asmongold up through Plunderstorm was an objective mistake, that not all publicity is good publicity, and you just need to ban one (1) man for his den of psychotic roaches to leave the game.
